So, is that really so? Must an object have utility in order to have value? That is a brilliant question, and a philosophical question, and I believe many people ask them the same question regarding Bitcoin. Does it really have any value? If it does, what is the utility?

Many people stop here and say that it is all speculative, and thus, have no real value. But, in order world today, money only has value because we give it value. Earlier they paid with shells and other stuff, today, those objects have no value. Something gets value because we decide to give it value.
And so, in a world in which currencies are inflated by governments, isn't it just fair that we actually give value to a currency that isn't governed by any government or country, but instead, by miners all around the globe?
And then we can of course start to think about other things in life... is it really so that only things with utility has value? Nah, let us think more about that this evening, and then we can discuss it more tomorrow!
