Most people make a normal living by having a job. But to what extent do people work for the money and to what extent they work for reasons like having purpose and identity? I suppose in Southern Ostrobothnia (@dromzz's home province) the latter are a really big deal.
I have only ever had few small summer jobs and I never really worked for money. I made more money with youtube than if I had worked my ass off in summer jobs. I need the working experience in my CV so that I can apply for a good job in the future.
Going to a school or a job can give your life a meaning even if you take away the financial aspect. Or actually now that I think about it, doing something that you like gives your life a meaning.
