Hello fellow brew drinkers, and welcome, to Steemits first collective beer review page!
The craft brew scene is growing at an incredible rate all around the world, with new local breweries opening up all the time. Some of these smaller operations dont make enough to distribute around the world, let alone around the country or state you may live in.
I will not leave a laundry list of beers to try for everyone, because I want this to be a community thread so we can get reviews from people that not only try different beers once or twice, but they truly EXPERIENCE them. I will review a beer with which I am intimately familiar with, and I will do my best to give it the description it deserves.
Here it goes....
I am from the USA, more specifically, Delaware. Wayne and Garth were right, its a pretty dull place, aside from our astronomical homicide rate in Wilmington, and our college party beach towns(Dewey beach) there isn't a whole lot to do here. But thankfully, Delaware is the home of Dogfish Head Brewery. And I am thankful that this brewery keeps our liquor stores stocked of their craft beverages year round and they are local as to help keep the financial aspects of maintaining a stocked fridge feasible.
This brewery started in 1995 as a pub in the southern most county of Delaware, Sussex, as most great small batch brewery's begin. And since their inception, they have produced a number of phenomenal beverages, all of which have their own merits and opportunities to stand out as the perfect refreshment. I will describe three of their brews which I am most familiar with here, although they have many more which are all worth exploring if you have the time and happen to find yourself in a store carrying the magical concoctions.
The 120 minute looks more like a "mead" or a dark wine than a beer. With a deeply powerful fruity aroma and a thick viscosity, not to mention the alcohol content of a red wine this is not a beverage to be trifled with. It strikes me as a perfect nightcap or digestif to warm your insides after a large holiday meal during the winter months.
The 90 minute is much easier to drink in larger quantities than the 120. It maintains the appearance of a traditional IPA, but you can tell there is a little something extra in this beast, which takes it to another level in terms of craft brews. Before you sip this one, you will quickly notice the strong hoppy nose it possesses, which follows with an even more powerful hoppy flavor and a strong yet crisp finish on the palette. The first sip might kick you in the balls, but the second will caress them and swaddle you like a new born babe.
And finally, the pièce de résistance for Dogfish brewery is by far their 60 minute IPA. A perfectly poured draft of this elixir stirs my insides much like an Irishman(I am a bit Irish too) gets when they see a perfect head on a pint of Guinness. Magically mixed portions of malt and hops will leave you speechless as you savor the experience of the first sip of this nectar of the gods. Not too hoppy with perfect touches of sweetness make this my personal drink of choice for the majority of my social drinking activity. This draft epitomizes what it means to brew with passion and love; and believe me, plenty of love blooms after consuming a few of these babies.
So, as for Delaware, aside from avoiding death in Wilmington, or avoiding public intoxication charges in Dewey Beach there is at least one other great past time to attract you to the state;
DogFish Head Brewery, and the 60 Minute IPA... Highly recommended by a Delawarean since 1990.

Did you try the Egyptian beer they make with spit? Dogfish Head is an excellent brewery!
Wow, I actually haven't tried that beer. I did know egyptians were the first known civilization to make alcohol but I wasnt aware they still made spit beer. Interesting haha.
I had my facts wrong, apparently it's a Peruvian style called Chicha. The grains are chewed up and spit into the boil or something.
That sounds even more appetizing. Ill have to research it a little.
