This weekend I was lucky enough to get my hands on a double IPA that “started it all.”
HEADY TOPPER
Heady Topper from the Alchemist, in Vermont, is an American Double IPA. This beer is a limited release and known by many as a unicorn beer, due to its rarity.
Unlike many of the craft beers I enjoy, this is meant to be enjoyed from the can. The Alchemist is so passionate about this, they even put it on the can!
This beer is super resinous, malty, but not too bitter. The biscuit-like crispness really sets it apart from other DIPA beers I’ve enjoyed.
Overall, a solid beer that I hope to get again!
