STOUT BEER
Stout is a dark beer made using roasted malt or roasted barley, hops, water and yeast. There are a number of variations including porter, milk stout, and imperial stout and the most common variation is dry stout.
Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout
If you like coffee flavor and high alcohol content in your beer, than this baby is for you. The coffee comes from Chicago's Metropolis Coffee. The coffee beans are freshly ground when they drop them into the brew kettle and whirlpool, giving that great coffee flavor that dovetails right into the rich roasty dark malt flavor. It's brwed with one pound per barrel. It's a rich black color and it tastes like beer with notes of coffee.
I got my Phat Boy growler filled up at the brewery, but haven't seen it around in ages. Anybody know if Lagunitas still brews this stout?
