Does that bottle say that it was first brewed in 1956? I wonder what has kept the brewery going that long. Heavy, sweet beer is not my favorite, either. It is really popular in the Caribbean, though. Guinness even brews an extra sweet stout for the Caribbean market. We tried it in the Bahamas and it was not terrible, but it would have been a shock if you were expecting the dry stout that is normally on draft.
