If you wanna (want to) understand Aussie culture in the summer, a good intro is an arvo (afternoon) bbq of backyard cricket and froffies (beers).
The keg we had was labelled Pale but its a delightfully light and sessionable summer ale. Slightly lagery and hard to pour - huge head and froth so some wasted beer but lovely nonetheless. I would say hoppy but its not on the USA level of hoppy with bitters.
Looks like a good ale, enjoy your summer bbq and beer! Never heard the slang froffies before, enjoy your frothy! :)
Was very heady and lots of wasted golden beet goodness on the froth but otherwise yum. Nice aftertaste too.
Man that blue sky and sunshine looks awesome. It's been cold and rainy over here. Arvo and Froffies... going to have to add those to the vocab list.
