Mermaid Cove - Armada Brewing

Beer Review

Mermaid Cove is a 7% alcohol/volume New England-style IPA brewed and canned at Overshores Brewing Company in East Haven, CT for Armada Brewing. The Mermaid Cove is brewed with 100% Galaxy Hops making it hoppy, juicy and delicious. Armada launched in January of 2017 and since then they have built a fleet of delicious beer. They self-distribute their brews to 100's of retail and draft sellers across the state. This Mermaid Cove was the third beer I ever tried from Armada Brewing and I think it was the best I've had so far.

The Can

Armada is a fleet of warships. The Armada beer cans (and beer names) tend to have a pirate theme to go along with them. Most of the can designs are fairly similar with different colors. This one features a gold 'Mermaid Cove' lettering on a light pink and dark green background.

The Beer

The pirates would be lucky if they were drinking something this good. The Mermaid Cove is full of flavor. When I poured it into a glass I immediately noticed the bright orange glow as if I opened up the treasure chest. The galaxy hops make this beer as tropical as can be. The taste of passionfruit and pineapple fill the palate with delight. Overall it was a delicious beer and I look forward trying more from Armada Brewing. Set sail with the Armada to the Mermaid Cove!

Jeff, just seen you on Max DaSilva's youtube channel where you were talking about steemit. I have had this for a little bit but you made me want to commit more time to it. Thanks man. Im not much of a drinker but I might have to get in on this #BeerSaturday

Nice to meet you @briansmith365! STEEM is a brilliant platform to be a part of. Thanks for reaching out

My friend happened to be sitting here on the computer with a terrible heat, because here we are close to Easter, which is next week. And it is doing a lot but a lot of heat, and coincidentally right now I was thinking about how I would like to have a beer from my friend @jeffjagoe at this moment to refresh myself with the delicious flavors of their beers. And you bring us this other wonderful beer that like the others looks majestic, the name is very curious and as you say, the pirates were lucky if they were drinking something as good as this. Without any doubt this beer, as its name says, is a treasure made in beer.

The mixture of pineapple and passion fruit makes it even more majestic because they are two fruits that provide sweet and citrus at the same time and the two together are great, I have taken juice from these two fruits and I imagine them in beer and it must be super delightful indeed . What is the cost of this beer my friend?

Whenever I meet my mermaid, this is the beer she gives me. It is perfect for hanging out at the cove. I'm thinking that pirates drank rum or grog or whatever they could find on the ship. My mermaid would not share! :-)) Nice review, it looks like a great beer.

Looks super delicious! Do they only sell in state???
I'd definitely add this to my must try list if they do sell out of state!

For now they are fairly local. They are brand new and doing really well across the state. I imagine they will be slippin' borders soon. Keep an eye out for sure!

What a lovely beer review. Lucky you to be able to taste it. Your review awakes the interest to taste it. Thanks for the info. :) Resteemed.
