Another week ends and I have my regular treat of some fish and chips from the take-away up the road. I grabbed a beer from the cupboard and it turned out to be McEwan's Champion.
This is a really strong beer with a taste to match. A great head as you can see. It just tastes strong, but I'm no good at describing flavours. I generally only have one bottle in an evening at home and I wouldn't drink too much of this strength anyway. The fish and chips was good too.
My better half was out for the evening, so I decided a concert DVD was in order. I bought Anesthetize by Porcupine Tree ages ago, but hadn't watched it. I did get to see the band around the time this was filmed.
This is a cracking recording of a very talented band. The sound is spot on with lots of nice touches in the surround.
Even the cat enjoyed it.

That's my kind of beer. Another one to add to my "to try" list. I've always wanted to try traditional "fish & chips" too, in England of course. Those are two things on the bucket list. A proper pint in Ireland, sitting in an authentic Irish pub, and Fish & Chips in England. If I ever make it to the U.K, we're going to have to meet for some Fish & Chips and a couple beers!

Wow! That has got some foamy head on it. I wonder how long that would last before it finally collapsed. That beer must be almost like food! It's a good thing you had a big glass, lol. Anesthetize would be a good motto if you had a couple of those, with such a high ABV! Cheers!
The glass has some spare room for the head. It lasted pretty well.
I kinda thinking of making my own post with this challenge maybe next week. Seems like I only drink same beer all the time so I wanna challenge myself to try other brand. I had pizza last time in pizza republic I paired it with beer 🍺.
