#BeerSaturday in Novi Zagreb

This is my entry for #beersaturday. I learned about this challenge via @buzzbeergeek

When you´re working weekdays from 8 to 5, very often you dream about Friday night.
On Fridays you have that good TGIF feeling, and you know you´re going to relax and enjoy the weekend.
Every other Friday night I meet my friends at a local pub. We´ve known each other for centuries. We all grew up together, in the same neighborhood in Novi Zagreb (suburb of Croatia's capital).
We share the same interests and one of them is beer. We like to relax and discuss many different topics over a glass of beer. Topics usually include (but not limited to): sports, local politics, music & more.

Our passion and love for beer has not faded over the years. On the contrary, craft beer revolution in the recent years has given us even more reasons to enjoy beer. As in most countries, Croatia´s craft beer scene has boomed in the last 5 years.

Last night we started with our favorite Croatian craft IPA Pulfer. We have a special ties with Pulfer, but I am not going to explain that now. Not so long ago a group of young beer enthusiasts started this beer brand in Zagreb.

We also drank Krusovice - a genuine Chezh lager. No need ot say that this is an excellent lager beer.

Velebitsko is definitely one of the first Croatian craft beers. It comes from the Croatia´s mountain area Lika and we tried Velebitsko dark version.

And then another Pulfer – Pulfer Stout.

This is a new pale lager from Daruvar with a funny name “Decki iz pilane” or “Boys from the Sawmill”.

It is hard to imagine a better start of the weekend!
