If you are as tired of hearing Dry January as I am of saying it, we are in March now so that is a distant memory. To celebrate a HUGE #beersaturday milestone at 400, I am hitting the road to visit a brewery and checking on our beer supply. So glad to have found a home with beer drinkers across the world on my favourite blockchain due to the efforts of our friend @detlev.

The Pint O the Week is usually a nice draft, enjoyed out on the town in a social setting, enjoying out community with some suds. These are a good example as I visited a craft brewery about an hour down the road for some fresh draft. You can see the differences in our taste as he opted for a nitro dunkel and I countered with a half pint of stronger Maibock. Nice to see these obscure styles on tap at this brewery, which will remain a mystery until the next section.

Royal City Brewing
I have been to Royal City Brewing and will most likely be again as it is right next to the store that sells our specialty brewing supplies. This is actually the main reason for our visit today as it would be rude to come all this way and not stop in the beer hall for a pint!

Though I am not overly thrilled at their IPA game, because I am a little picky, it is damn good to see the sheer number and beautiful variety of beer styles on tap. Many are their own but I can see at least 6 guest taps which is a show of solidarity between regional breweries and a nice treat for beer lovers.

As delicious as the Maibock was, weighing in at 7.2% ABV, I had to follow it up with their core Session IPA. Exhibition Session IPA comes as advertised with citra and amarillo hops in an easy drinking yet flavourful beer at only 4.5% ABV.

It turned out to be a perfect pint to wash down these brisket tacos. I have been to so many craft breweries where food is an afterthought and they mail it in. Strong IPA game or not, when a craft brewery has a tap list as long and varied as theirs, and rocks a menu of delicious food, that is a solid business that is doing it right.

Brewing!
Back in our brewery with the fresh grains and brewing components in tow, it was time to get our brew on. In the big brewer we have our flagship Black Cat Amber Ale which looks to come through at just under 5% abv. On the left in the smaller brewery we have an Irish stout which will be on nitro when it is done. Amber flows out of this brewery like water and we killed the Stout keg at a party a couple weeks ago so I am looking forward to some fresh stout!
January screwed with our drinking and brewing a little but we are back in full swing. In the fermentation room, we have 210 litres of cream ale, amber, IPA and Irish stout fermenting away. As discussed with @leaky20 last week, I don't drink all this beer myself. We have a coop of 3 people with keg fridges including one at our https://www.towncriermarketing.ca office to share with clients and visitors. A beer or 2 per night is as big a problem as I have and it is much better drinking your own beer.

#BEERSaturday!

Too prove you can teach old dogs new tricks, I am trying to keep my arguments to myself and silently sip my beer in the company of people who already have it all figured it out.

Those tacos look amazing
Oh man they were awesome. After a day out in the cold at the farm for my #wednesdaywalk post freezing my ass off, you can imagine how they hit the spot!
Oh, this place is just my
cup of teapint of beer :)I'm going to review the other microbrewery in Berlin later today, if I have time :)
Oh yes please do! I need more German Breweries in my life and feed.
!BEER
Well, maybe for the next week, I kinda had a busy day :)
I like how you clarified that it's not all for you 😂
Ooo a Stout is Brewing 👀
I often forget WE doesn't mean plural in the individual sense and it deserved clarification that I don't drink 120 pints a week that we brew! The last oat stout was fantastic and the date on it was late 2023. So, it doesn't get consumed at the rate of the IPA and Amber but it will be fantastic to see how a freshly brewed keg will taste. Can't wait!
a community encouraging first-hand content, and each individual living their best life.
Fabulous pics, and those brisket tacos look amazing! 😋
Good food makes all the difference.
And it was brilliant to see your brewery, that was awesome. Talk about being impressed.
