An international team of scientists from Denmark, the United States and Canada has found that moderate chocolate consumption reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular disease such as arrhythmia (fast heartbeat).

The team of researchers analyzed the results of a study, attended by 55,000 Danes. They have answered some questions about how often and how much chocolate they include in their diet. Then the researchers compared the data with the medical history of the participants in the experiment.

It has been shown that moderate consumption of milk chocolate and black chocolate significantly reduces the risk of arrhythmia. This disease affects millions of people around the world. Among women who regularly consume 30 grams of chocolate once a week, the risk of this disease declined by 21%. In men, this percentage is even higher - 23%.

I eat chocolate every single day. I can't imagine my life without it. :)
Mostly I eat dark chocolate or chocolate with nuts.
I do not think it is insignificant, but it will not change much. One who loves chocolate will eat it regardless of whether it has a "healing" feature. It's hard to give it up.

I love chocolate. Especially raw vegan chocolate. My favorite is handmade in small batches in NYC by a company called Gnosis Chocolate.

I used to be. Raw chocolate is definitely worth the added expense. It's basically all of the good stuff from chocolate without all of the bad stuff from processed chocolate. I also like to eat raw cacao nibs straight out of the jar.

I haven't been doing it for the last several years, but I did it for almost a year. Would do it again if I had someone to help with all of the dishes. It's pretty labor intensive.

:d haha! Depending how much chocolate you eat and what kind of metabolism you have! I can't eat a lot and I'm sure I'm not going to get fat!

It is the cacao bean that is the good part, the sugars and other ingredients I doubt do you much good at all. Generally the higher the content of the cacao the better it is and it is rich in anti oxidants, and other health properties.

Hi @the-future, I see chocolate as a veggie, as it comes from a bean on a tree!! You can never have enough veggies, forget the moderate, the more the better!!
