Want to move to Berlin? You’re not the only one.

It’s said some 50,000 people right now are moving to Berlin every year.

It’s not difficult to see why Berlin is so popular. Berlin is Europe’s most dynamic, lively and exciting capital city right now.

But Berlin isn’t a very easy city for newcomers to get to grips with.

There are many things which are different to what you’re probably used to. And a whole load of issues and problems that you will face when you arrive for the first time.

Such as finding a place to live. Looking for a job. Getting fixed up with a bank account. Registering with the city authorities.

Then there are things like health insurance, tax, and all the other issues and challenges of moving to a new big city.

It’s not easy getting it all together in Berlin when you’re a newcomer. And it’s harder still when you have to do all this in a strange new country with a different language.

My name’s Kevin and I’m an expat from London, England who’s lived over a decade in Berlin.

Like many other expats, when I moved to Berlin, I also went through the long process of getting everything together in Berlin and finding my way there. It all cost a lot of time, overhead and frustration to sort these things out.

What I could have really done with was someone who had the inside knowledge to show me how things worked as I went through the process of moving and getting fixed up in the city.

So I’ve now put together “How To Move To Berlin” to help other people achieve just that.

It contains everything you need to know about living and working in Europe’s coolest capital.

How To Move To Berlin is a hands-on, how-to guide to the practicalities of moving to Berlin based on my own experience and years of living in Germany’s capital city.

It’s written to equip you with the practical insider know-how to avoid the costly mistakes people make and help your move to Berlin go as smoothly as possible. This is the handbook I wish I’d had when I moved to Berlin.

It covers practically everything you need to know when you’re moving to Berlin such as the transportation system, how to fix up short term accommodation, looking for an apartment, registering with the city authorities, getting fixed up with a bank account and mobile phone number, the tax and health insurance systems, a look at the different districts of Berlin, studying in the city, learning the language, and lots more.
