Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to bring a photographic vision to reality. Sometimes you have an idea and the gear – but no models.
I don’t know where you’re from but here in NYC having a father in your life is RARE. So when someone gave me the concept for this picture it’d require me to find not 1 father but 3, that are still alive, and in speaking terms.
I told my wife of the idea and she thought it was very creative. Then it dawned on her that her co-worker has a great grandfather. She pitched him the idea and they were all game.

Thanks - the real achievement was finding 4 male parents! There are A LOT of children without fathers in their life, at least in NYC.
