I was talking to my male colleagues in the office about football betting. This is a serious business in Nigeria. A lot of people ranging from as young 16 years old (even though it is clearly stated that you must 18 years old to participate) place bets to get winnings.
I have always been fascinated about what is so interesting and addictive about this that I decided to get more information. I called the guys and asked certain questions:
What does the word 'odds' mean in football betting?
How are the earnings gotten?
How do you know which games to put in for?
........ and so on and so forth.
To answer these questions, i was told to open a popular football betting website in Nigeria, 'Bet9ja'. I was so surprised. As we perused through the site, I understood why any one would get addicted to it.
It is a game of chance. You win can win gigantic sums of money or lose. You could also win a small sum of money and lose as well. you can play for as low as 100 naira to as much as 1 million naira or more. Depending on how you look at it, it is some how easy money.
Oh well, it is definitely not my type of thing. But it was fun, putting a picture of the website on my whatsapp status and seeing the reactions. hahaha

How are you doing today. Hard Fork 20 is some hours away. I do not know what to expect. The price of steem went up yesterday but seems to be dumping today. No worries by the grace of God we are in for the long run.

Betting in any case is a bad habit which is difficult to get rid off. It's best to stay away from it!
