Are you woke yet? Here is the wake up call. Iota has arrived and is set to overtake inferior technology aka Bitcoin, Nem, Ripple, Ethereum, Litecoin and all other "blockchain" projects. The future is now.
- The "Tangle" allows for zero fee transactions earthwide (micro & even nano payments)
- Tangle architecture superior to blockchain
- Extremely fast transactions (nearly instant)
- Network gets faster with more users (Unlimited ceiling - already faster than Paypal,Bitcoin, Dash, ETH..etc)
- Decentralized (Optional operator, which will be removed soon, when network can selfsustain)
- Scales for the IoT (M2M transactions)
- No miners & no third parties (PoW by everyone using the network)
- Fair token distribution
- Very limited supply of tokens (comparable to btc satoshi)
- Quantum secure (Immutable)
- Interoperability
- Pushing real world adoption
- Strong community (13.000+ active members on slack alone)
- Iota Alliance (Amazing group of developers & highly qualified scientists)
- David Sonstebo, Dominik Schiener, Come from Beyond, Serguei Popov (Founders and genius behind Iota)
- Recent Partnerships (Ubuntu, Cisco, Microsoft, Medtech, Huawei, Bosh, Alpha, IBM, Gnosis, Luxoft, F6S, Satoshipay, Filament, Medtech, Slock.it, Foxxconn, IDEO, Harward Medical School, Procivis, Berkely, Seedlab, Mooti and many more.

OOOH, I can hear the chime of the alarmclock... It is time to wake up indeed!
Thank you for this great article!
hahaha love it @breezin Stop by anytime:)
Sure thing, same to you!
IOTA, madesafe and holocoins are the future.
For sure m8 shoutout to you:) Havent looked into madesafe at all yet. Is it running on a blockchain?
Not. Is in alpha phase yet, right now is just an ICO from omni, just like IOTA was in the NXT platform. But it is promising.
looks interesting to say the least. I still need to get more info before i pass judgementP
I truly believe in IOTA's technology. I am organizing a small IOTA giveaway of 3 Mega IOTAs. It will help new IOTA users to play around IOTA and to understand its wallet. Check out: https://steemit.com/iota/@devender/giveaway-2-iota-giveway
Exactly what I wanted to write this night. Well done. I have big hope for IOTA to succeed.
Thank you brother:) I do too m8:) suggestion you could research and post on "snapshooting" not much out yet about that topic. If not then i will do it by tomorrow the latest:)) cheers
If I find something I will make a post.
P.S.
Looking forward to buying my first IOTA in the end of the month :D
Follow back man :)
What I don't understand is: If there are fee-less transactions, then what exactly is the IOTA token going to be used for if they are not required for the transactions?
Thats a valid question @pandorasbox. If you compare it to any other currency the value always mainly comes from the trust that people give that particular currency. Why do people trust the USD? Why do people trust Bitcoin Why do people trust gold?
So the trust can be based on many factors scarcity, functionality, brainwash, comfort, security, immutability etc. The trust in Iota comes from all the points i just mentioned in the list above. Main use is of course being the currency of the network aswell as the currency for everything that will run through the network
ok imagine you want to send money from A to B.. there's 2 ways of doing it.
-use iota and don't pay fees.
isnt that reason enough to use iota coin?
if yes? the more iota is used for free. the less iota will be
available on exchanges so the more expensive it gets.
now lets be honest. the reason why most coins go up is due to speculation this is the same for iota. ppl just daytrade it .. or other ppl invest in it because they think iota will be used in the future.
and ppl use it just for the sake of trading today. Once there are more exchanges listing iota. you will see the amounts of transactions grow .
now for the real iot case: imagine you have a bunch of sensors reading info about air/noize/chemical pollution , for some companies this info may become interesting like research labs who work for governments or other companies. in order to directly read from the sensor and pay the sensor it should be really cheap, feeless and basically scalable with its' only limit beeing bandwith of the optic fiber in the future
amazing feedback @wonkytonky
