Although Joseph was in trouble, but God did not leave him. The merchants brought him to Egypt, and there he became a servant, Joseph was intelligent, hardworking, honest and successful, so everyone loved him. Soon the glory of him reached the Egyptian king himself - the pharaoh. Seeing that the young man is indeed so talented, as he was said about, Pharaoh made him his courtier and one of the main rulers of the country.
Seven years in a row, an unheard-of harvest was collected in Egypt. But God revealed to Joseph that after this a great famine would come. Wise Joseph ordered to save part of the grain and store it in reserve. Therefore, when the famine came, only in Egypt was the bread left, and from all corners of the earth, buyers were drawn to Joseph.
Joseph's brothers also came to Egypt: in their country, too, hunger raged. Joseph recognized them at once, but did not show it: he wanted to test the brothers and see if they had repented. He himself has changed so much over the years that it could never have occurred to the sons of Israel that this was their long-lost brother.
Joseph pretended to be angry. He accused the brothers of being spies and thieves, and demanded that they leave in his slavery the youngest - Benjamin, who has now become a father's favorite. But over the years the brothers repented of their cruel deed and did not want to inflict another terrible grief on their father. Therefore, one of them, Judas, asked the severe Egyptian to remain in slavery instead of his younger brother.
Then Joseph realized that the brothers had reformed, and revealed their secret to them. That was the joy! The brothers hurriedly went home to tell their father incredible news: his beloved son is alive and well and calling them to himself, to Egypt! There he will give them the best lands and save him from hunger.
So the large family of Jacob moved to Egypt. Joseph took care of them.
