The rapture doctrine is unbiblical, an invention.
because the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with an imperative call, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. 17Next, we living survivors will be caught up, together with them, in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will always be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
From this verse the doctrine of the rapture arises: at the time of the so-called "first" resurrection (Revelation 20: 4), those members of the "church" who are still on earth will be "snatched" alive for, along with the resurrected , be elevated to heaven to reign with Jesus at the time of his return to earth.
This doctrine is unbiblical, since at present there is NO church to snatch. If “church” or “body of Christ” is understood as the group of people who have been baptized with the Holy Spirit and therefore “anointed,” that is, recognized as “Children of God”.
And he said to them: “Go all over the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17In addition, these signs will accompany those who believe: Through the use of my name they will expel demons, speak in tongues, 18 with their hands they will take snakes and if they drink something deadly they will not harm them. They will put their hands on the sick and they will heal. (Mark 16: 15-18).
Are there people with the capabilities described there?
Some claim to have these powers and claim the name of the Church of God.
Now, these people say that being alive they will suddenly be snatched from the earth and taken to heaven, to be returned to it at the end of the "great tribulation."
Then, it is these same people who will reign with Christ during the thousand years of the kingdom of God.
It should be noted that according to the Bible to be able to reign with Christ in the millennial kingdom, one must participate in the so-called "first" resurrection, something impossible if this person has NOT died first:
“Happy and holy is anyone who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for the thousand years”(Revelation 20: 6).
And it is NOT about any kind of death.
“And I saw thrones and there were those who sat on them and were given power to judge. Yes, I saw the souls of those who were executed with ax for the testimony they gave of Jesus and for speaking about God and those who had not worshiped the wild beast or his image and who had not received the mark on the forehead Not on the hand. And they came to live and reigned with the Christ for a thousand years. (Revelation 20: 4)
And here is the dilemma: People who say they will be taken alive when they walk quietly down the street, or driving their car, should have died for maintaining their loyalty to God, when it is put to the test.
Dead of martyrdom for loyalty and at the same time alive to be taken away.
A doctrine without biblical foundation!
