Jonathan Edwards was an 18th century preacher who is commonly known for his sermon: "Sinners in the hands of an angry God".
What a lot of people don't know is that he sewed blank pages into his Bible after every page. They now sell these type of Bibles in book stores. After reading the book "Praying circles around your children" by Mark Batterson, I was inspired to purchase 2 of these for my small children.
The goal is that I will add my notes, prayers, advice, or whatever I glean from the Bible and personalize them for each of my kids. When they graduate HS I will present this to them as a gift that hopefully they will find value in. In the crazy world we live in, I think our children need more spiritual support and more guidance from us (their parents).
You can find these Bible's (journal Bible's) on Amazon. I encourage anyone to look into this as it not only will assist in your daily Bible reading, but presenting your kids with years of prayers is something they should cherish for the rest of their lives.
If anyone does anything similar or different for their kids as a way to support them, add it in the comments, I'd love to hear about it!
