I don't understand, what's so terrible about GMO, people have such a weird thing about it. It makes the land we farm more productive, lessening our impact on the planet. If they want to mass produce perfectly modified plants to give me the exact buzz I'm looking for whilst lessening the impact of farming on the planet, I'm in. :)

Fear is more attractive to a lot of people than positive resuts. I do think people realize we have to consider the population of earth is increasing by the second. GMO is getting us ready for the future. Whether it is food or herbal Ii think overall GMO is a good thing. It mitigates suffering as well as our impact on the earth.
XXL reports Waka may have gotten sick because the edibles contained GMO, which he generally avoids because he’s a vegan.

'Fear is attractive to a lot of people' ......that is quite a strange assertion, with respect. I might say ignorance is attractive to a lot of people in response. Fear resulting from reason is nothing to be ashamed of. Many people seem to have swallowed the propaganda...doesn't mean they are right. I wonder when people are going to acknowledge the fact that it it demonstrably obvious that governments and big business lies all the time. With regard to GMO....they aren't trying to feed the world, they are trying to get rich by enslaving it. Any honest scientist will tell you that GMO experiments should never have been conducted out in the environment....there have already been many grave unintended consequences, like gene migration, the full scale and repercussions of which are largely unknown.
There are alternative points of view; productivity is not greatly increased beyond what traditional (but slower) breeding technologies can produce, the use of increasing amounts of pesticide chemicals is detrimental both to our health and the environment, that GMO's have been released into the environment without the first clue about the long-term effects....which could be severe and numerous and that genetic material from the new organisms has been shown to migrated and become incorporated into the micro-flora of human guts. Just look at the companies involved. Look at how they behave, how they influence governments to achieve their goals. Look at how they are determined to prevent consumers from easily identifying products (by clear labeling) contaminated with their genetic experiments. From their actions, especially around seeds, it is obvious they want to capture and control the entire world's food supply. Have you heard of the plight of the Indian farmers who have been driven to suicide in record numbers? Do some research and see if it changes your mind.
I am an old school consumer. I'm stickin' with the closely cultivated, organic, home grown.
No matter what you have been told by others, bank on these facts. The Government, big Pharma and big agriculture are not your friends. P.S. Have you registered for the Draft?!
Mostly what I hear from others is that we are being enslaved. Its quite the story tale isnt it? almost romantic. These stories are just stories unless I witnessed them myself. To read something online and buy into it without having any personal experience with what is being read, to me, is irresponsible. One can say the gov is against us, trying to enslave us, is this because of something you read? Do you have any proof other than just linking to another "'source'.
I served in the Army straight out of high school, Ii didnt know what Ii was doing really. Iive seen too much to believe that the government is trying to enslave humanity. The intentions are honorable but there is a disconnect in what is truly being helpful. Im pretty sure the "ones in charge" have our best intrests in mind, even if some fucked up shit happens, theyre heart is in the right place.
