Today is the second day of rifle Elk season here, and there's plenty of guys lugging these big boys through the sodden thickets in our rugged mountains hereabouts. They're an excellent choice for elk in the Coast Range of the PNW where extreme distances aren't often an issue due to terrain, but the Roosevelt bulls here are the most massive elk in the world, so it takes a lot of punch to drop them in their tracks. In these craggy woods, you don't want to chase very far after any that don't!
Thanks!
