Yo yo yo once again it's Jon Jon Almighty here with another steem post. Today we remember Big L aka the Devil's Son. One of the greatest emcees who blessed the mic with some of the hardest punchlines during the golden era. It's no secret that many emcees today still take notes (at least emcees who care about the lyrics), and pay homage to the man. Sadly he was taken too soon right before he can release a second solo album to follow after "Lifestyles Ov' Da Poor & Dangerous". He was working with many of Harlem's finest at the time forming a super group called "Children of the Corn". With notable emcees such as Killa Cam (Cam'ron who later formed Dipset) and Murda Mase (who eventually just became Ma$e) along with Bloodshed (R.I.P), and Herb McGruff. Amongst Big L's circle existed another up and coming emcee who will soon hold the title of a legend, an emcee called Jay-Z. Highly recognized by the infamous "Stretch and Bobbito" radio freestyle. Big L and Jay-Z went back and forth on a freestyle session that still remains talked about among Hip Hop heads today! Big L would've been 43 today but sadly killed on February 15, 1999. He sure did leave his mark in Hip Hop, recognized by many and never forgotten. Rhyme in Peace Big L. Make sure to put your Ls up while jammin to one of my favorite joints by Him!
Dope v e ry good read I'm a fan of his we gotta more Hip Hop fans on here
