Interesting how much in terms of things we enjoy can be tied into our genetics.
If I had it my way I'd have frappucino-like coffee all the time, that's my hands down favorite way to have coffee. But as I don't have the money to get them consistently or the equipment to make them at home I have to settle for making coffee the night before and putting it in the fridge to chill then adding creamer and ice cubes made of frozen coffee.
The thing is I hate the taste of coffee, but I crave it over tea that has the same caffeine content because coffee is okay lukewarm whereas tea needs to be hot for me unless it's the Arizona raspberry iced tea very specifically so I can drink coffee over a longer period and don't need to run and warm it up every time I want a sip. My taste buds are strange.
You do not like the taste but you crave it? Interesting. I do not think I have ever craved something I do not like. Have you tried some other caffeine thingines? There are drink like sodas that have caffeine in them, maybe try those.
I don't like soda, the carbonation doesn't sit well with me. Anything non carbonated around here doesn't have caffeine, or has so little it's almost not worth drinking. And caffeine pills don't have the same effect, similar to tea versus coffee on my end. It's the strangest thing, but I can negate the coffee taste with creamer and sugar so it's not so bad.
