Hi everyone,
Today was hectic. I have to run here and there, trying to complete my assignment and project to conclude my eighth semester as a college's student. Nevertheless, it was a productive day and I'm currently satisfied. Today, we are going to take a look at another three articles, which is not a part of the steemSTEM community. I get it, people were struggling on this platform. When they discovered Steemit, the majority of them envisioned their success in the form of a large-value upvote and a high payout income. It is like everything that we wanted (making a lot of money while working at home) were finally materialised in the form of social media. Guess what? The reality is harsh. There are only a few who are willing to work harder than they are yesterday, to ensure they succeed in this platform, but is it enough? After all, success cannot be achieved by hard work alone. We need to be strategic, we need to know when is the right time to take up chances and we certainly need to know when it is a bad time to make a move.
The Underrated is an independent effort made to provide opportunities to all of the STEM authors to join a community which appreciates science, technology, engineering and mathematics-related content. We understand that in order to make an educational article especially when it is a STEM-related article, much effort need to be invested to make it great but most of the time, especially if we are no one (celebrity or such), our effort would be left in vain. You will earn as much as 0.01 SBD and that's before the 75-25 author-curators segregation. SteemSTEM is a community-driven project which has been established for almost 2 years now, supported by a few other whales and witnesses, aiming at supporting underrated STEM-related articles. If you need to know more about the project, you can click here to find out.
Please take note that, The Underrated is not in any way related to the @steemstem account. This is a personal project made my @chloroform, so any critics or suggestions were his own. Without further ado, let's take a look at 3 of today's article which might have the potential to succeed in the steemSTEM community. @elysiumproject: Colloidal Biology: New Insights Into The Origins Of Life
This article was beautifully written by the author and it is quite brilliant in its own way. Honestly, I never knew regarding the existence of a field called the colloidal biology.
In Colloidal Biology it is recognized that all life is fundamentally energy, which we can measure the bioelectromagnetics of using superconducting quantum interference devices or (SQUIDs); It has been established that a healthy Life Colloid cycle is largely dependent on the food the host consumes.
How cool is that? The coverage of colloidal biology is quite extensive. In the past, we never have been paying much attention to all of the debris which can be found in the blood constituent but in the colloidal biology, it carries a great significant especially towards the overall health of an individual. In terms of the article's technical aspect, I have a few suggestions for the author's future article:
- It is good that the author cites some references for the articles but don't forget about the image as well. Ensure all of the images used in the article were not copyrighted. It is a common courtesy to gives some credits to the original authors when we are using their materials.
- Use the tag #steemstem

@kristinaljfom: How to improve brain function
I have seen this author produces a few science articles related to the field of psychology and health. Most of her article was short and simple which make it easy for us to read them. Don't get me wrong, in certain occasions, a long explanation is needed to clarify the information we are trying to convey but some topics can be presented in a short and simple way. The brain is an extremely important asset to an individual.
There are a few factors which can affect our brain health such as diet, physical activities, sleep, infections etc. and I'm pretty sure, the majority of people know them but they didn't aware. There are a few suggestions which I can point out in order to make the future article much interesting:
- Cite images' sources and ensure that every image didn't violate the law of using copyrighted materials. Please refer here if you're not familiar with what I was talking about.
- Cite the article references and maybe slot in a few sources which can be used by readers if they are interested in that particular topic.
- My principle is to at least write 500 words article to ensure I've covered the majority of the aspect (if not every aspect) of that topic before hitting the "post" button.
- Write some brief introduction before jumping into the main topic of discussion
- Use the tag #steemstem

@politt: To drink or not to drink coffee
Coffee is a popular beverage to start our morning. In a study which has been conducted in 2014 by the National Coffee Association in New York has found that approximately 80% of the adult population in the United States has been drinking coffee and 60% of them, drink coffee on a daily basis. There are many studies which have been conducted to investigate the association between drinking coffee and various health benefits/risks such as cancer but we are still quite confused whether or not this type of beverage healthy for us or not.
A few suggestions for the article made by @politt is:
- As usual, cite the images sources. I don't know how to make it sounds important but sourcing the image to the original author should be treated as a common courtesy among bloggers to avoid using image which has been copyrighted.
- Cite the article's references
- Utilise the Markdown Editing to enhance readability. Use mini header to highlight important points or at least, make it bold.
