I've been chased a bit and certainly felt in danger from the Northern Mockingbird too. They will defend their nests in such a wide radius it is sometimes hard to tell whether you are in rhe danger zone or not. Interesting that the Tropical Mockingbird in Suriname act the same way. I just did a quick search on them and they look and sound similar to their Northern cousins. Thank you once again for the support!

I was surprised to see the similarities as well. Here it's not aggressive towards humans. There are too many birds around to keep them busy. Thank you for sharing your observations.
