Hello Steemians
The smallest and the most common woodpecker in eastern North America.
This is a female Downy, lacking the bright red patch on the back
of it's crown of the male.
They are found throughout North America, except in....
the far north.
They can be attracted to backyard feeders, and prefer
a suet type feed.
Such a pretty little bird. i love woodpeckers and I have a pair the visit my tree. It amazes me at the speed they knock knock the tree.
They are enjoyable to watch.
