Spotting the Knysna Loorie

in #birds7 years ago

I have always hear and read about these but this was the first time for me to see and photograph one.

Its head and chest is emerald green with a deep blue body and tail

The wings are blood red so the bird displays very striking colors as it flies. This portion of the forest was quite thick so you can see the difficulty of getting a clear shot, as it hopped around, amid the leaves of the forest canopy.

Wow that’s a Cool Bird. It must be hard to photograph those kinds of birds but you did a great job of capturing That bird in the wild.

burung yang indah, saya senang melihatnya dia jinak dialam bebas, cara mengambil foto sangat bagus dan mantap dan warna yang lumayan menarik membuat suasana indah,,saya akan mengikuti postingan kamu selanjutnya.

So they becoming extinct? Never seen one physically!

it does looks a little but like a parrot with the colors but on the other hand its way too different that parrot.

true it looks like a parrot

The easiest way to identify the Knysna Lourie from other green turacos is by the white tip on its rounded crest...
