For those who are "hooked" with EXODUS wallet WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT

in #bitcoin-news8 years ago

I have been following up close the development of EXODUS which it is my understanding, works as a form of Cold storage which in the context of crypto-currencies refers to keeping a reserve of c-coins offline. This is often a necessary security as precaution, and perhaps when dealing with large sums of currency (???)

EXODUS currently works with a limited number of c-coins. I asked if they were to include some more and they have provided the following road-map.

Roadmap

Factom Q2 2017 Factom support entered private beta as of 10th Feb 2017, the public release slated for 31 March 2017 has been delayed until Q2 2017.

Decred 2017 Decred is in internal testing.

Monero 2017 Monero remains on the Exodus roadmap and are excited to include this asset. Unfortunately, the UI/UX of Monero remains difficult and is still not ideal. Today novice users continue have difficulty with transaction notifications from the current beta GUI wallet from the Monero core team. Because Exodus does personal one-on-one support for each Exodus user we feel including Monero too early would cause a massive support burdon and confuse casual digital asset enthusiasts. Good news is we are getting closer and we do expect Monero to be included in 2017. Although pros and technical users may like bleeding edge technology, until Monero is rock solid, tested and “dog-fooded” internally Exodus will not release Monero until it is ready for “normal” (non-technical) digital asset consumers. Exodus posted an update on Reddit regarding the history and details on XMR integration (Jan 31, 2017).

ICONOMI 2017 Iconomi is an ERC20 token and expected to be released in 2017

DigixDAO 2017 DigixDAO is an ERC20 token and expected to be released in 2017

Omni 2017 Likely in 2017. Omni, Maid, Tether all fall in the same body of work for Exodus

OMNI TOKEN SUPPORT 2017 Omni token support will enable tokens such as Maid and Tether. Support is planned for 2017.

Maidsafe 2017 Maid is an Omni token and expected to be released in 2017.

Tether 2017 Tether is an Omni token and expected to be released in 2017. We are most excited about Tether because of the ability to have a stable peg inside of the Exodus environment.

HARDWARE WALLET SUPPORT Planned The Exodus team is very keen to add hardware wallet support (e.g. Trezor, KeepKey, Ledger Nano). High-net worth investors comment this is the ideal platform with the added hardware auth.

Ethereum Classic Under Evaluation Exodus are undecided on Ethereum Classsic support.

Zcash Under Evaluation If the Zcash network remains stable and has continual upgrades it is likely we will support this asset in 2017.

Storj Under Evaluation Storj has announced in Mar 2017 a transition from Counterparty to Ethereum. Exodus supports Ethereum’s ERC20 assets. Storj will be evaluated when this transition is complete.

Siacoin Under Evaluation Exodus is intrigued with Sia but have not looked the tech to see what the options are.

SingularDTV Under Evaluation SingularDTV is an ERC20 token.

I would love xrp and mobile app. I love Exodus, but is sometimes inconvenient to have to wait for my computer to do certain transactions. I badly want to remove my coins from poloneix and bittrex, but only want one centralized wallet.

I LOVE EXODUS

Thanks for the info on which coins are next!

I use Exodus and think its great. Good to know what is coming down the line. Some coins I don't care for and some I would like to add. But overall I like the wallet.

Solid post. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Be prepared for a fluctuating crypto market. I was researching a way to find more info about the current cryptocoins on the market. I really advice people to take a look at: https://www.coincheckup.com This site is really helpful in my coin research. I don't know any other sites with so much indepth analysis.
