A previously trending news that the larger shareholder in Uber, SoftBank involvement in any investment deal with Bitmain has been denied by an official of SoftBank. The news which was reported by both mainstream and crypto media outlets is false according the statement coming from the SoftBank official.
It was previously reported in the news that the valuation of Bitmain, bitcoin mining giant has been brought to 15billion dollars following their initial public offering seal with chinese conglomerate Tencent and Japan's SoftBank. But now, SoftBank has denied their involvement with Bitmain while Tencent has remained neutral without any denial or confirmation any investment dealings with Bitmain.
