Jack Dorsey, founder and CEO of Twitter is saying, Bitcoin will be the only currency in the world in the next ten years.
In an interview, the CEO of Twitter looks very confident that Bitcoin will be out of the bad trend in recent months. Later, he predicts that the digital currency will be applied everywhere
"The world will have a single currency, the internet will have a single currency.I personally believe it will be Bitcoin.Perhaps it will happen in ten years, but it can be faster than that," he said, as quoted from Tech Crunch
The man who also served as CEO of Square, the fintech company from the United States is argued, that over time, Bitcoin will be better, especially about the technology. This refers to the assumption that cryptocurrency does not yet have the capability to be an effective currency
"It will be slow and expensive, but as more people have it later on, it will disappear by itself, with new technology capable of supporting better blockchain, Bitcoin will be easier to reach," Dorsey said.
His support for Bitcoin was not just through words alone. Last week, the man owner of this @jack Twitter account has invested USD 2.5 million for Lightning Labs, a startup focusing on a protocol called Lightning Network that works on payments through cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin.
In addition, he also intends to continue to support Bitcoin through the Square which provides payment method services. Last year, Square Cash has added the cryptocurrency in its system, and is already applicable to users of fintech founded by Jack Dorsey and Jim McKelvey in 2009.
