Is Bitcoin Gold the most undervalued Top 100 cryptocurrency?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Looking through the Top 100 cryptocurrencies on CMC there is only one that has not had a parabolic run up over the past couple of weeks.

I cannot find a single coin with a chart like the one below, a long flat line, clearly at or close to the bottom in USD, and basically at an all time low in satoshis.

Bitcoin Gold looks like the most undervalued cryptocurrency in the Top 100 right now, and reminds me of Bitcoin Cash after it's initial launch, the same long flatline, constantly dropping in satoshi value, and then suddenly a 7x run up, and now getting ready to go parabolic.

As always, this is not investment advice, and not a recommendation to buy or sell, it is just my opinion, but I can see something similar happening here.

As anyone who reads my posts knows I only buy at the bottom. Bitcoin Gold has been steady for 3 months now, I really cannot see how it can go any lower. The 24hr trading volume is still very high at $150MM, and it's on all the big exchanges, including Bithumb, so this is a coin that is very definitely alive, and has the potential to be pumped massively.

At this point I think it's a very low risk, and potentially very high reward investment.

Sort:

Duno, this might have to do with the fact that BTC Gold is a ripoff that no-one is gona mine / use!?

I don't think so, the $150 million daily volume speaks to the fact that, despite what people say, Bitcoin Gold is very much a serious player, and that's without the price going up. It's also listed on the Korean exchange Bithumb, which has enormous volume, and is responsible for most of the massive pumps in crypto.

People said the same thing about Bitcoin Cash, which also started at around $300, and look where that is now. I'm all about buying at the bottom, I never chase highs.

You make a good point to be honoust!

Personally I like to just leave the BTC battleground and look around for good alternatives!

You might be absolutely right...I remember when Bitcoin cash was at 200-300$ and everyone thought it was a scam and it was going to crash to 0$. Look at it now, it's at 3k. That would be a 10X return if you would had invested.

Do you believe ripple will take over Bitcoin for #1 spot? Ripple is only 2X away from Bitcoin, and I know many crypto beginners who think Ripple will go from 3$ to 10K (like BTC) which kind of explains Ripple's surge to #2. Many people don't know about circulating supply and invest without even doing research. Like your posts :D Followed and upvoted !

Thanks for your support! That's exactly what I'm seeing, I remember the exact same thing, everyone thought Bitcoin Cash was a scam, would never get anywhere, everyone was writing it off, and, well, we all know what happened next. Personally I think Bitcoin Cash will actually flip Bitcoin, and I'm now a big blocker! Really wish I'd invested back then.

I think Ripple could definitely flip Bitcoin, or maybe Ethereum will do it, or Bitcoin Cash, it's just a matter of time before something does. Once Bitcoin gets knocked off the top spot, I think it will drop down the rankings quickly. In it's current state it's completely unusable, and market dominance is crashing. The new generation coming into crypto have no loyalty to BTC, and will have no problem jumping ship to something with newer and better tech.

Yep and with people like Roger Ver supporting and promoting Bitcoin cash, I think you might be right about Bcash flipping Bitcoin. I've noticed Ethereum is reaching all-time highs right now...do you know any news that might explain this price movement?

Also, I just did my first real post on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies. If you have time to check it out and to tell me what you think of it and how I can approve, would be really greatly appreciated :D Thanks to people like you, I've realized I actually enjoy writing about crypto so much more than my old life-related style of blog posting.

Roger Ver gets a lot of hate, but people should actually sit down and listen to a whole interview by him and see his side of the story. The guy really did more for Bitcoin than anyone else, helping to build the entire ecosystem of startups and merchant services that made Bitcoin into a real workable currency... until it was hijacked that is.

It's always like that, "no good deed goes unpunished" as they say.

Even the Bcash thing, I don't like that term, I think it's really insulting to a community that is actually fighting for the real, original Bitcoin. Check out r/BTC and look at how many posts there are there with real discussion, real merchant adoption, real use cases, and compare it to whats on r/Bitcoin where there's literally nothing but memes, and if you bring up any form of criticism, or just acknowledgement of a real problem with transaction fees you get instantly and permanently banned. It's insane.

Anyway, I'm really glad you like my blog. If you haven't already, I really recommend you check out @haejin for cryptocurrency price analysis. His technical analysis is deadly accurate.

Roger Ver is an incredibly smart man and his passion for Bitcoin is truly inspiring. So many youtubers and people on the internet take his sayings out of context and make him look bad. For the Bcash thing, for example, I never knew there was actually a valid reason for him being mad at the interviewer. The youtubers make us believe Roger was just over-dramatic and was mad for absolutely no reason.

After watching the actual interview, I just realized how incredibly passionate Roger is and he's most probably not promoting Bitcoin Cash for his own sake, unlike John Mcafee. I don't know if you've ever seen this video, but it really shows Roger stands for the good of people around the globe when he goes around and promotes Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash.

I absolutely agree, amazing video. I mean it's obvious Roger Ver is not doing this for the money, there's a reason he was called Bitcoin Jesus. He's probably worth hundreds of millions of dollars, money means nothing to him, he is in this for ideological reasons.

Can you imagine the hate this guy gets? Not to mention constant death threats probably from people trying to steal or extort his money or hack him. Who needs that? Who needs the stress? Almost anybody else if they had that much money would just take it and run, or hide under a rock. The guy is a real missionary.

He has his own personal vendetta against the government too for locking him up on a trivial charge. Listening to what he says about his time in prison is also very eye opening.

that is damn true, i agreed..

I think I'm going to be proved right on this one, I just hope there's still time to accumulate before lift off!

great advice and very important one..

bitcoin is unstoppable, stay thirsty my friends..

yes bro you are right

Bitcoin is one of the biggest opportunities since the invention of the internet itseif....great times to be around..............................

Hi @adamantine, looks like a good investment, the current price seems to be around the support line on the charts and even if it only peaks to $800 again that's a fair profit. BTW, I nominated you take part in the 7 day Black and White Challenge in my last post!
