According to a report by decrypt on the 2nd of May, Craig Wright (an Australian computer scientist) has served Roger Ver (CEO of Bitcoin.com) with a libel suit at a London Bitcoin cash meet up.
Per the report, Craig Wright was called "a fraud and a liar" by Rodger Ver in a YouTube video which has been taken off YouTube for violating its community guidelines- which encourage the libel suit, Roger Ver also commented on decrypting that he would be fighting the lawsuit.
Craig Wright has presented several lawsuits to various figures in the crypto Sector; they all denied his claims that he is the mysterious inventor of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. In April 2019, Craig Wright served a libel suit to crypto podcaster Peter McCormack, who said in a program that Wright is not the real Satoshi Nakamoto.
The claim aims "to prevent McCormack from making further fraudulent claims that Wright is not the individual behind the Satoshi Nakamoto pseudonym." Decrypt also notes that Roger Ver is not in support of the exchanges delisting Bitcoin SV, which is backed by Craig Wright, as a form of protest, Roger Ver spoke on the topic saying "I do not think it was a good thing. If people want to trade it, then they should be free to trade it. The free market, free the world if you want to trade Bitcoin SV, go for it."
A $4 billion lawsuit was also brought against Craig Wright in February 2017. The family of David Kleiman (recently deceased computer scientist) filed a case in the U.S. District Court of the southern district of Florida, which accused Craig Wright of forging contracts in order to illegally pocket as much as 1.1 million in Bitcoin.
