Bear
"What we learn from history is that people don't learn from history." When investors get either too fearful or too greedy, they sometimes hide behind the notion that "This time it's different." Usually they regret it. (Warren Buffet 1930 - )
Bear, oh bear, gentle look, majestic strength, hardly any animal combines strength with cuteness as beautifully as a bear, the cuddle factor is so high that you can not escape.
Only eight species of bears are extant, they are widespread, appearing in a wide variety of habitats throughout the Northern Hemisphere and partially in the Southern Hemisphere.
But here in #Bitcoin #Blockchain #Cryptocurrency and Co, we do not talk about that species of bears, we are talking about a very special one, the crypto bear. He is so powerful that he pulls whole crypto market in his ban.
His origins are older than the digital world itself.
By the eighteenth century, the term bearskin was being used in the phrase "to sell (or buy) the bearskin" and in the name "bearskin jobber," referring to one selling the "bearskin." Bearskin was quickly shortened to bear, which was applied to stock that was being sold by a speculator and the speculator selling stock.
In the jargon of stock-market traders a bear is someone who sells securities or commodities in expectation of a price decline. (The History of 'Bull' and 'Bear' Markets)
A master of survival, for centuries he visited markets. When he has discovered a market, he visits it again and again, like a honey pot. Unfortunately he also discovered cryptocurrency market, and since then you will not get rid of him easily.
The market participants are not completely innocent either. Imagine the bear is standing in front of the cryptomarket city and with every sale a participant raises his arm and wave to bear. Due to our pronounced herd behavior, more and more people are selling and waving to the bear.
At one point bear is telling himself. Hm maybe i should visit them, they look very friendly.
And then, not entirely uninvited, some say they have indicators that can warn us when
he will come, but most of the time he is suddenly there.
We know the feelings when the bear runs through the cryptomarket streets. Pure decentralized anarchy. Red courses lie on the streets, the people scream around wave even more, save yourself who can, and the bear eats and eats more.
You check social media and then you ask yourself maybe i should go off, this is unhealthy. In social media in general there are two types of people. The first ones, that are screaming, HODL, hold we've already seen that, the bear will eventually get full. Toto sings Hold the Line (Toto 1976-2008, 2010-present)
The second group, makes something completely different, they scream even more, the current doomsday experts: Bubble, Bubble, I told you so, I told you so.
And at some point the bear is indeed full and leaves us slowly. A few wave to the bear, bear we love you, thank you for cleaning up our streets from bad things. The big calculation starts, losses almost everywhere. People wonder how long is that going well? Will we survive next visit? Should I move somewhere else?
The polar bear could die out as a result of climate change, we would lose a beautiful animal. The crypto market bear will stay with us for longer, until the next visit.
Wave, wave...
