The cryptographic money blew past Monday's record high of $8,285 to $8,368 Tuesday morning, exchanging up 1.24%. It surrendered some of those increases and was exchanging at $8,289 just before twelve ET.
The coin was sent in a spiral after news broke that digital money firm, Tether, was hacked.
Tie, which made a cryptographic money called USDT that is pegged to the dollar, said in a blog entry on Tuesday that "assets were disgracefully expelled from the Tether treasury wallet through vindictive activity by an outer assailant."
The US-based organization said $30,950,010 was taken Sunday.
