Twitter adds Emoji Bitcoin, Jack Dorsey suggests that Unicode does the same

Twitter founder and CEO Jacques Dorsey tweeted Emoji Bitcoin (BTC) recently added on February 2 and referred to Unicode, the union that runs the character standard, in a clear suggestion to do the same.

Dorsey's tweet showed that now, when a Twitter user types the hash bitcoin or BTC tag, an image appears with a symbol next to it.

Dorsey's proposal to include the symbol in the Unicode text coding standard in community appreciation, as Elizabeth Stark joined the participating Lightning Lab.

After Twitter added emojis to its platform, many coded characters have tried it, including TRON's founder (TRX) and BitTorrent CEO, Justin Sun.

The official accounts of the main crypto exchange, Binance, used emojis and suggested that the crypto community join the use of hashtags to make them smell for Twitter. Bainance CEO Zhang Bingzu also rewrote the message saying "Let's do this."

Jack Dorsey's involvement in the field of cryptocurrencies
This is not the first step in cryptocurrencies by Twitter co-founder, who is also CEO and founder of the mobile payments app for Square Currencies. In early December 2019, he also announced that Twitter has a dedicated team to develop a decentralized standard for social media.

On the other hand, Square Company patented a technology that was allegedly breaking a present barrier in encrypted merchant transactions by providing a real-time system that exchanges cryptocurrencies for paper money. In November, the company also released a letter to shareholders explaining that the number of Bitcoin buyers on the app doubled in the third quarter of 2019, but they made low profits.
