I constantly hear about how some new bitcoin development upgrade (segwit, lightning, etc.) is going to be a game changer. While this might be true, I'm here to tell you that NONE of these technologies are going to move the needle comparatively speaking.
So what IS going to be a gamechanger you ask?.....
The simple answer: ETF's
The only loosely legit way to invest easily in a bitcoin through the US stock market goes by the ticker GBTC. It currently trades at an 89% premium to the actual value of the underlying bitcoins it holds.... Yes, you read that right.
The reason for this, is that there is an incredible amount of pent up demand to invest in a traditional fashion into bitcoin. When your grandmother can invest her retirement money in bitcoin, that's when the real money collectively will enter the equation and we will see a HUGE increase and demand and therefore prices!
So the takeaway here, is to keep an eye on developments of these different groups trying to make the first legit bitcoin ETF. When that day comes, buckle up folks!
Haha very true, I think we get caught up in the tech stuff being nerds sometimes we forget about things like this in which you're right. This will skyrocket the price
