I've had to step back the last two months and really look at the markets and what is going on in crypto land lately.
Bitcoin is a name nearly everyone knows most still don't own it nor know what it actually does they just have some what of an idea.
While bitcoin continues to go up in price it is actually one of the slowest movers compared to others such as Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin and even steem!
In fact just a few short months ago the outlook for bitcoin looked bleak and a fork was talked about which has happened in the past with Ethereum. Could this still be a future for bitcoin?
From what I hear bitcoins blockchain can just not handle anymore transactions and the time for processing gets longer and has its limitations. This is where other cryptos have stepped up to help clear some of this up by create new and improved block chains.
One of the most looked at right now in Ethereum which price has increased well over 1,500% in just 2 months!
I really linked this info graphic that shows why Ethereum is so popular right now and all the capabilities it has.

So what does this all exactly mean?
To me bitcoin will remain the staple for a while in what most people will understand what others are talking about. Bitcoin has become a name many understand and know what your talking about. This will always hold a storage type value and seems to be almost what physical gold is today. That is a place of storage where other networks cashflow in and out of.
There will be other improvements and better blockchains with better security along with new ways of doing things. Ethereum seems to be one of the heavy hitters but there are a few others I am closing keeping an eye on and investing in.

Nice info graphics; I can tell you put some time into this post.
If it's mom tested it's got to be good. What do you think of steemit being the future?
"Steem is beautiful" ... Stop by and take a look and let us know what you think.

I am following, upvoting and featuring you.
The community is great but I don't know much about the backend of what makes steem the coin good. What blockchain does it use, what would it be used for etc. I don't see any real ad revenue to be generated by the community site to increase capital gains either so I am still in the dark on steem as of right now.
Nice post man ! informative ...
