The whole cryptocurrency markets have gone belly up since Monday, even steem was a few hours back at -13%. Jamie D is a total cluster fuck with his rhetoric considering he's company was bailed out not so long ago

Good morning Micheal. I love all this FUD stuff. Why?! Because it gives me some time to scrape what little bit of cash I could find to buy more. Yes, baby! I love this crazy nonsense in the crypto world. They bring the FUD, I work on my FOMO! Hahaha!

Anyways, have a wonderful day. Aloha to all

That's what I've been doing since early July, although I have to admit there was also the worry in my chest whenever I click on the Buy button :) My general strategy is to buy at different price levels. Not all at one go. Will run out of cash/BTC fast with the latter. Usually I'd fail to catch the very bottom. But eventually the price would level off. And then comes the rebound.

However, I'm no HODLer, except for STEEM. Whenever there's a reasonable profit (meaning at least 30%), I'd take some money off the table by selling. Also at different price levels.

Well, my dear, you and I are lovers of cryptos and freedom but out strategies are slightly different: You trade for profits. I HODL all of it! Ok, confession; I sold some LiteCoin yesterday for some more Populous (PPT). I'm conjuring other ideas of how I can magically make money appears to get more bargains....urgh...what a problem to have

Well, a good morning and happy trading friend! Aloha!

Litecoin... one of my recent failures. Due to my impatience. Had bought it at $46 "because it's more stable". Then I got a bit annoyed when it was "too stable" :) Moving between the range of just $47-42.

"What a deadbeat!", I thought. Well, it was...when compared to my other winners. So I decided to take a small loss, sell at $42 and use the proceeds for something else. And then it went to $70+ Aargh!!

The price of gambling

I see this as "speculating" when one does basic research and due diligence first. Buying only after he's reasonably confident the item has substance. "Gambling" is pure luck though. Going in blindly and hoping he had picked the right one.

But luck is always a factor, research or not. There are things which we simply don't know about. Especially the various variables that form a mixture, and leading to events that are either negative or positive.

You are right. I apologize. Just trading. Not gambling. Very different.

Populous (PPT) - I've never heard of it. Did a quick check at Bittrex - it's not available there. It might be on Poloniex(?) I also have an account here but I've not used it.

It's an ICO that can be found at EtherDelta

By the way, how is it that you can upvote for 0.05 while mine is only for 0.01...? Is this due to Steem Power or something? I had transferred some Steem last week and powered up. But my upvotes remain the same.

Your SP is $70. Mine over $600

That's so true. Put in a wise risk free amount now. This is a golden period to buy. And then .... HODL !!!

TONS OF FUD ACTION LOL

Once the price recovers from this FUD, we would regret not buying any of it. So buy whatever you could if you aren't already ALL-IN. Literally anything is fine, even a fraction because it's gonna multiply for sure. Good luck to all opportunity grabbers.

I'm happily buying steem now that is going down :D @OriginalWorks

Great post, thanks for confirming your commitment and intelligent personal arguments. The banking parasites will soon be looking for real jobs in agriculture.

Great content! I like the way you keep the balance, by bringing arguments against the FUD, or against the hype when it's necessary!

Excellent video ! 😎

Every time new technology and any kind of exchange can and had been used for illegal purposes. #Bitcoinisheretostay

@boxmining Thanks for sharing your activities with finding up and jogging. The 1st yrs tend to be the hardest. We are at our for six yrs non-halt.Carry on Performing at it. Perseverance and exertions tend to be the keys to results.

One way I deal with FUD: see this as an opportunity to buy/buy again coins. With capital I had specifically placed on standby for such moments. Have to admit there is always some worry whenever I buy during times like this. Often, they'd go lower. However, I also ensure that I don't buy in one instance but over a few different price levels.

You are right about only using money that we can afford to lose. This is what I've been doing. The general principle is: even if I were to lose 100% of the capital in cryptos, I will only be disappointed and probably exasperated. BUT NOT face any sort of financial difficulty. Not even having to tighten my belt. At worst, I will not be going on a vacation.

I'd inform my wife how much I'm putting into these and not be secretive. Even though she doesn't know much about these cryptos (beyond bitcoin). That provides some check and balance in ensuring I don't risk too much (Actually she probably thinks I'm too cautious).

Although I believe cryptos are here to stay, I have to say that I'm no HODLer. More of a mixture of speculating, trading and some genuine investing. Based on my previous experience in the stock market, I make it a point to take some profits and money off the table when prices reach a certain point. But not sell all though. This ensures that I won't feel dismayed whenever the price falls (which happens quite often). I'd use the profits to buy again whenever it reaches a lower level. Like now.

Incidentally, this strategy has helped me handle the present fall much better. Thanks to previous big gains which I had taken profits on. Like with RISE and Navcoin especially. And Evergreencoin just yesterday. "Cash flow and capital management" - these are crucial in helping to handle FUD.

@boxmining What a wonderful and heartwarming Tale..

whats going on with the cryptocurrency why are going down the hill ????
