I couldn't agree more. This huge rise from 8 to 20k was incredibly unsustainable and people have been throwing money at literally anything.
And possibly market manipulation!
I suspect the entire crypto market is overvalued by any reasonable measure, the question is whether the value catches up to the price -- in which case, the sky's limit -- or whether the price drops to match the value, which isn't clear yet.
Good news is, only a tiny, tiny fraction of the world's wealth is tied up in cryptos. Finally, real companies are leveraging the technology. I suspect the sky's the limit. What do you think?
When fear comes and people sell, who buys from them? People that are in this for the long-term. This stabilizes the market and provides a breath moment for technological improvements. Eventually, people that sold will come back for the tech and utility.
Mostly these are newbies. They will comeback later with a regret of selling them so cheap.

We need a market cleansing of all the speculative money
Does anything happening in the current market actually trend to long term? To see the big picture we have to look outside the market to what it represents and cryptos taking the place of fiats is of course the future. Its undeniably better in almost every way and as we begin to see commodity backed cryptos it's only going to increase the drive forward. There is no going back, whatever "Downward Trend" exist, it is but momentary, there is no halting evolution short of complete annihilation and I just don't see the worlds gov's coming together to annihilate cryptos.

I like crypto, crypto is good. Having said that, I am really interested in “real life” applications. It will be interesting when my future grandkids (and maybe my youngest child, are learning and applying blockchain in technology courses in high school and college. It seems that although it will no doubt be used in mainstream (read corporate and government) applications, it may also be a tool for decentralizing a ton of crap that does not need to be centralized. Do not ask me for examples because I am not that bright, but the theory seems sound.
I hate to say it but it was something the market probably needed, it will regain momentum and hit higher numbers. It just might take a while to recover fully.

You and I both. Looking back, shoulda sold off a healthy portion at $800B. And on the other hand, should’ve bought a ton more when the cap was $100B. So, technically, we’re somewhere in the middle and that’s not a bad place to be! HoDL, BTFD, _____ insert acronym here.

we know the most volatile market in the world is CRYPTO ,but we also seen the massive gain og coins in the CYPTO only so we have to keep some patience about the price of bitcoin. this crash of bitcoin was expected by the traders they know this will happen & also they know this will spike like anything anytime so its better to just HODL the coins instead of selling.

The crypto market caught the flu!
The flu has been going around here in the US and the cryptocurrency market seems to have caught it too! And now it's vomiting. Just like a person having the flu, the market also needs to wait it out - there is no real medication for this except for time. But even in this bear market - you gotta love it, the highs and the lows, it's all apart of the rush and excitement of the crypto market - it's like gambling but you know your investment will eventually be higher than it was previously at some point in the future due to the low adoption rate globally and the laws of supply and demand and cryptocurrency's deflationary nature. We're going to see some tremendous growth in the overall market cap this year and beyond and I'm so excited about it! This is why you shouldn't get discouraged with your losses, this is the time to learn about the market and really dive into the projects that you want to hodl long term. If you really believe in blockchain and cryptocurrencies, you're in it for the long term. And in the long term, you will make money if you invest into solid long term projects. #rags2riches

Totally agree that a dip is good - I was actually predicting that the market would fall down to the $318B range (almost hit it) before it hit Elliott Wave 3 - up towards 1 Trillion. (just my thoughts)

Today someone bought a ton of bitcoin when the price had dropped to 7500$. This instantly brought the price up by almost 1000$. Right now it looks stable at 9000$ for some time. people have to stop their FUD and grow up. No one's banning their bitcoin.

I agree. Corrections are good. It also scares weak hands away. I lost about 50% of my portfolio so far. It's pretty awesome, still about 100% up from November.

These Last weeks I invested thousands of dollars into different crypto currencies and ICOs. The bear market was exactly the opportunity I was waiting for to make an entry in some more "exotic coins" as well. I really enjoy doing some research on the technology of all these coins and tokens.
