These big banks have a lot of money, I fear they won't just go away without fighting, they will try to suppress the price of cryptocurrencies as much as they can and obviously spread FUD so that people lose their interest in this market and not bother much with it.

The process of drastic downsizing of banks will speed up as the old generation (which doesn't understand/trust crypto) is replaced by the newer generation that generally knows more about crypto.Very true, thanks for sharing @boxmining.
I think most people who think bitcoin is a scam don't understand how the current banking system works. We are completely dependent on the commercial Banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash or credit. If the Banks create ample synthetic money we are prosperous; if not, we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system. I believe that if the people fully understood what Congress has done to them over the last 50 years, they would move on Washington, they would not wait for an election, there would be a revolution....Bitcoin saved my life. Banks have made my life a misery for the past year. Bitcoin and ETH has never failed me. It's not about the price, it's about trust.
Great video and interesting food for thought. This thinking is definitely futuristic! I think banks will still be around for many years to come, but as crypto starts to catch on, they will start to feel the pressure and either adapt or be left behind. But at this point, crypto is still way too wild-west and volatile. But someday Michael, someday! :)
it will not be inhibited. unless it works together, that means the bank and crypto accept and recognize each other. here will appear a new question: whether the crypto will be under the bank, or vice versa. Currently, the bank is the parent of all currencies. is likely to someday change with crypto. this is just an assumption, do not be too sure first.
.there is no rose without thorns. i understand like that. including talking about crypto vs. banks. I judge that crypto is like a good guest coming to the bank. Crypto itself participated in building banks. but still guests. it is impossible to intervene bank. banks are also reluctant to respond to exaggerated crypto.

The growth of crypto exceeded all expectations and is still growing quickly no doubt you are right and soon we will say good bye banks evry thing is going and crypto is still growing

Bitcoins will be here to stay for a long time but banks can never disappear nor will bitcoins ever be able to compete with banks on a one on one bases. Banks are funded and owned by the 1% of the world nd they will always strive because they got regulations and laws on their side.
I agreed with the new idea of blockchain and totally understand this is the future of financial system. I have a feeling that bank will not disappear(because they are rich and have cables with the politician) and will try their best to stay in the game.
The banking industry is pulling all stops to kill crypto. I don't think they'd go down without a fight?

your opinion is rather subjective and naive, Yes the blockchain will give back people in control of their financial power but in current market it's mainly used for speculating without real world usage and mass adoption.

Banks will transform and find various ways to stay relevant. If they embrace crypto, they can easily start their own exchanges, enticing interests/benefits, and it will be the same again. If you ask me, the value of cryptocurrency is its use as the perfect currency for the internet. The internet is a lot bigger and older than crypto (crypto rides on the internet anyway) but I haven't known any industry it killed completely(e.g. traditional music, local TV, cable, movies). Like the internet, cryptocurrencies gives the us smaller people a bit more power/control than ever before.

since the crypto market regulation is changing really fast, banks are simply afraid to lose their license.

Banks have again and again created the depressions and economic crisis because greed and corruption does not benefit the common good and public interest. Banks can not be allowed to control the economies of the planet, it's time to migrate to the trustless consensus of the blockchain.

It seems unlikely in the foreseeable future but it is definitely possible if the general public begin to adopt cryptocurrencies in everyday life. Great post!
Not sure if they will disappear completely but their business model will be severely challenged in the coming years. Add to the fact that they have a huge amount of risk that depend on their model working, it will be tough for them in the long run as well. However, I think they will adapt and actually participate in this space whether by investing capital or creating their own technology. They have too much power to hand it off so easily. Only time will tell.

"The banks have betrayed the public many times" the current model of banking is a complete scam nobody is getting a return from saving while the banks are still risking your capital and making huge profits from loaning it out.
