Also @brandonfrye I need your suggestion on which coins I can buy for less than $1 and hodl for a long term. I have $50 to invest.
@hornblende
I recommend following Altcoin Buzz on YouTube as they regularly do videos about brand new coins that are under $1.00. They also sometimes tell you what they would do with a certain budget. Right now, I'm very bullish on VOISE and it's sitting at about 13 cents currently. However, I might wait and see if it goes into a dip first before buying into it. I'm also bullish on Po.et (15 cents), Cindicator (13 cents), and ReddCoin (2 cents). I always buy on the dip though and recommend that you do the same.
Thanks so much. I will check the youtube channel and also get some of the coins you listed here. I have some reddcoins I bought some months ago.. Hope these coins can be hodl for long term?
This was cool. It gave me ideas of how to begin in the semi new to me world of steemit and crypto. Hopefully there is more I can learn from this and other posts.
Awesome, I'm glad this helped @jerryperkinsii. If there's anything you need help with please let us know and we'll try to help. Glad to have you here! :)
I do appreciate that. Thank you.
Great stuff Brandon. I have been doing a similar thing but using an email series of 6 emails on onboard beginners. :) Keep up the good work!
Check it out at https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@davidalexander/free-beginners-guide-to-crypto-and-bitcoin-via-email Appreciate your feedback.
Awesome, keep up the great work @davidalexander!
Thank you. Appreciate the love! :)
Very good project for beginner of Steemit world. I like your activities. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the feedback @pariza, much appreciated! :)
Most welcome @brandonfrye
@brandonfrye keep bringing the strength and support that you bring to our Steemit family. You have done an excellent job. I'm happy to have people on this site like you. As always, I appreciate all that you do. Thank you.
Thanks @jr11, appreciate the support. :)
Thanks for the great video @brandonfrye! I just started investing about 2-3 weeks back, although I've been on Steemit now for about 5-6 months. I have a bittrex account and own a little of 4 or 5 coins right now. Do you have any tips on any coins that might be worth a look under $1.00 right now with potential? Thanks!
I'm very bullish on VOISE right now and it's sitting at about 13 cents currently. However, I might wait and see if it goes into a dip first before buying into it. I'm also bullish on Po.et (15 cents), Cindicator (13 cents), and ReddCoin (2 cents). I always buy on the dip though. And I highly recommend following Altcoin Buzz as that's where I hear about all of these new coins (with potential) coming to the market. Thanks for your question!
… and you make some affiliate income when I will join CoinBase :)
Thanks for the great video. Very useful as I'm just getting started with crypto currencies.
And good to see that you are investing back into Steem.
Yes, I just made a note of that in the post. I should have done that. Thanks for reminding me. :)
And you're welcome. I'm glad to see more and more people getting into crypto. It's the best investment opportunity that I've ever seen.
Sorry Brandon, now I realize that my comment reads like an accusation. That was not my intention.
Thanks again for all your great work here on Steemit.
Oh no worries at all. I didn't take it that way lol. But I really did forget to put that on there and totally meant to. So I'm glad you said something. :)
Great video Brandon. Altcoin Buzz are a really good channel, especially for beginners.
Thanks for giving a beginners course to all Steemians, really great of you to do - checking out the coin's team, checking out their Twitter etc. is always important. I find, being technically minded, that reading the white paper in depth is the best way to analyse a coin.
As I mentioned before, I'll be creating an online course - I do not want it to seem like I am promoting it in the comments on your post, but if you want to chat a bit about it let me know and we can't talk on steemit chat, discord, Telegram or whatever else suits you best! I'm looking to spread the word to as many people as possible. Cheers for the great post!
Yes, that's also a great idea to do before investing: read the whitepaper. Or at least check to see that there is a whitepaper lol. Some coins slack in that department. And yes, that's a great idea and no worries about promoting yourself. There's plenty of room here on Steemit and I'm sure you'll be going into a lot more analytical detail then I do so that's good for people who want to get really serious about crypto. I'll get on steemit chat and hit you up.
Haha some really do - a very bad sign for me usually! Thank you, and I am aiming To Help anyone and everyone! Good stuff.
Yessir.....The Alctoin Army is strong!
Yeah I subscribed to their channel last year when they had like....20k subscribers lol It's exploded and for good reason. Great place to get the pulse of the crypto space for sure.
Great video man, I could have used this when I jumped back into crypto.
Awesome, you already know then about the power of the Altcoin Army. I watch that channel religiously like it's my favorite tv show lol. Jeff definitely has his pulse on the trigger and it's dropping some great investment knowledge on that channel. I've made a LOT of money taking his advice. :)
Likewise, the dude knows his stuff for sure...I got in on a bunch of coins he talked about before they moonshot. Agreed....His channel is one of the best out there! Surprised we don't see him more on Steemit, but I'm guessing....YouTube has him busy lol
I don't know if you've seen my comments on his YT channel but I've been trying to get him over here for the last month or so. He has no idea how BIG his channel would be here and how much money he would make. But to each their own I guess.
Those comments start flying, he gets thousands a day it seems now. I'll go and check for them now and like them, might get his attentio. lol
BRANDON!!!!!!!!!!
I had to stop your vid at the two minitue mark, because if you only knew how syncro-Steemic this was...well you understand...We just had gone into town (it snowed up here last night and gosh we needed the moisture in the forest...anyway my hub got freaked because he didnt buy a gift debt card ( dont like to use Credit Card online), to buy more Steem! We started blaming each other as to why we didnt remember to get card, because we would have to go back in town. So as he sat there disgunted that he had no Steem power, I got online to see this?????
Wow....we both are so grateful! You snapped him right out of his funk! Hahaha!
Humbled and happy all at the same time! Thank you for your kind and timely Prize!
Oh, do you know if Steemit excepts those visa/ master card debt gift cards?
Anywho, what a day this is!
20D in steem is like 500 this wondrous day!
Such appreciation. Sharing da love
L
Wow, that is so crazy lol. I'm glad that made your day and straightened out the situation there. :)
And I don't know of any way to purchase Steem directly with a credit card. You would have to purchase Ethereum, Bitcoin, or Litecoin first through CoinBase and then transfer that over to blocktrades.us to exchange it for Steem, Steem Power, or SBD. But I don't believe you can use a debit or credit gift card for that. But I'm not 100% sure on that.
Its all good, just a sweet spat. Really it was your advice on a previous vid about buying more Steem to increase your vote power etc, and I told my husband about it and he said he would buy more Steem for me as a motivating gift to keep Steeming.
Oh and i meant debt bank card not C.C.
Thanks for your quality content!
Something worries me though. I've been in the digital marketing space for a number of years, plus followed financial markets in many different instruments (stocks, options, cfd, forex, etc)
One trend I have noticed in most of them is that courses and training start to sprout when the subject they go to is starting either maturity or downright decline.
Over the last couple of weeks I have seen more people selling and promoting courses and training for crypto trading than in all of 2017 combined.
Is this the beginning of the end for the golden age of crypto trading? I can't help but wonder..
That's actually a very interesting point. I've also seen many trainings and courses popping up. However, I don't think we're anywhere near a huge correction just yet. And crypto is in a very different category, pretty much all by itself. Currently less than 1% of the world's population holds any crypto. So those of us that are getting in early are really the pioneers of this whole movement. And it's seen extreme growth since 2015 especially (4 billion to 246 billion market cap). What will happen from all of these courses (and BTC futures) is more money will be coming into the market. This we've already seen, especially since 2015. What's funny is a lot of these courses focus on Bitcoin as if it's the only crypto currency out there. I'm personally WAY more excited about the Altcoins and the new technologies emerging from them.
I’m new to Steemit, and relatively new to crypto investing. Very informative. Thank you!
Hey @jennshaggy, welcome to Steemit first of all. We're glad to have you here and I'm glad you stopped by my channel. Hope to see you around! :)
Just here to see the winner from yesterday I am more interested on the steemit tutorials.
Thanks for the feedback @chris.scustoms! I'll definitely keep those coming as well. :)
I am actually watching all of your other videos now
Hi @brandonfrye, I really enjoyed your video thank you for sharing with us 👍🏻 I’m really just trying to understand this whole new wonderful world of crypto at the moment! And every video helps a little! I’m so new to this kinda thing! Great work, keep steeming 😊
Excellent, I'm glad that helped. I appreciate your comments!
I must say this is incredibly amazing... This is an avenue to conquer ones ignorance as a beginner in cryptocurrency investment.
Thanks @lordmarv! :)
Thank you for sharing with us what do you do for a living and introducing a crypto platform for us to trade cryptocurrencies and the sources to look for potential crypto.
Is it slow for Ethereum transactions to go to Binance from CoinBase? Bitcoin is slower than Ethereum regarding the transaction speed. Anyways, upvoted!
I prefer Ethereum over Bitcoin (or Litecoin) when it comes to transactions because they are much faster and much cheaper. Great question.
Hello, @brandonfrye I just became your 500th follower. Having just passed that number on my own blog, I realize the importance of celebrating our milestones in life. Awesome!! Thanks for following and helping me reach that milestone! I agree that it's important to celebrate our achievements and I appreciate you taking the time to write a comment here. Keep up the awesome work. :)
Good info @brandonfrye thank you, +1
Thanks @coolkidapproved for the feedback!
Whats a good market place to get on for alt coins that isn't taking forever to confirm people?
In the U.S., the only place I'm aware of to purchase crypto with your USD is CoinBase. They're currently being overwhelmed with new clients so the signup process is taking longer than normal. But you'll definitely want to get an account there first. Then move your crypto to other exchanges to get the ones you like. Hope that helps!
I have been on CB since earlier December.
So just put fiat through that and what other should I start?
and will I need a USB wallet to store those as I only have Steemit and Coinbase right now?
Sorry for all the questions lol
upvote and follow plz

good post
I am completely new to Steemit and just starting to grasp the concepts, as I am mostly here to write/post ideas, and see what happens. Very informative and helpful. Thank you!
Thanks for this post! I'm new to cryptocurrency investing and this video is very helpful. I do have a question, what wallet do you keep all your altcoins in? Or do you keep them on the exchange? Thanks for the help.
Good work. I have picked up a bunch on what you're laying down, keep on it.
