RE: Top 5 goodies offered by BlockPay Integrated, BlockPay "S" and Smartcoins... [$]

It mentions on the Blockpay website that it can be used for Vending machines and kiosks. Do you have any further information on how this integrates? I would be happy to partner in testing your technology in the vending environment.

That's correct. As long as the machine is capable of generating and displaying a QR code on screen, or via NFC, then that machine can now process crypto payments.

I am sure you have probably already looked into it, but I know of at least one manufacturer that is using the latest raspberry pi with a cellular network gateway and sim card. They use the raspi touch display.

Another solution is to use WiFi for the internet access, but that is very limiting for some vending machine locations, especially outdoors.

The nice thing about using the color screen (above) is that your machines can display ads via the included screen saver option in BlockPay.

Drop me an email if you'd like to get a bid on Integration:

I recently googled a couple of raspberry pi implementations of a vending machine interface but none of them had the specifications I would need. Ideally, the cryptocurrency payment acceptor would integrate with the same module as the credit card reader and communicate with the industry standard MDB specification for vending machine payment systems. Also, low data usage is another factor. My machines currently use less than 5 MB per month for telemetry and credit card payments.

None of my machines are currently capable of displaying a QR codes, but some do have contactless credit card readers. The credit card payment system has the capability of using prepaid cards. I was wondering if an app could interface as a prepaid card for the purposes of the vending machine payment system so that no new hardware would be required. I'm not sure whether BlockPay could be used in this way, that is, to add credit to a virtual prepaid card on an NFC enabled phone?

I will send you an email to talk further.

My machines are unattended so security and durability with any display is critical. The ability to advertise would be nice (and I know of some vending machine manufacturers adding this feature to new machines) but is not something I see as essential.
