We recently went through a good sized correction within our market and I am very happy about it. What makes me scratch my head is the fact that investors are very timid and afraid of where the market is going. I can not seem to grasp why we have so many individuals who sell at a loss. If you buy let's say Steem at 5 dollars wouldn't you love to buy Steem at 3 dollars which it went to recently? I understand chart analysis from the years of investing I have had; however, that does not mean you know what's going to happen. The market can still trick even the "experts" It definitely helps when you understand the depth chart, the walls, the SMA averages and so forth. I believe a group can be helpful if you can't seem to grasp the knowledge of charts and signals. But if you can grasp that and have seen patterns in the past I believe you can call yourself an "expert" just like the others. Some experts just get luckier than the others. These altcoins have hardly enough history to where you know what's going to happen. For example, XLM has hardly any history compared to BTC of STEEM. My suggestion (to be safe) is to invest in coins with history and have a certain portion of your portfolio for more risk, which YOU CAN HANDLE. I hope my fellow investors were lucky enough to buy during this correction, aka why there is an acronym BTFD for this scenario, because this is where you can obtain profits. My next article will be on buying and selling depending on what you guys think of this article and how I can advise from the hundreds of books I have read on investing. A little about me? I have invested for a couple years now, and no I don't consider myself an "expert" who charges 500 for 3 months to tell you signals I want to do that without a cost because I know I don't have a crystal ball to tell me the future. Feel free to ask me any questions you'd like. Peace Crypto gang.
