We are experiencing a big surge with the Bitcoin Cash price. It is up 20% in the last 24 hours. A couple of days ago when the SegWit2X drama was still a thing it was very possible that we would have been left with two crippled SegWit Chains and then Bitcoin Cash could have tried to race in and steal the show! When that didn't happen it was really hard to tell how everything would be looked at. Would Bitcoin pull back hard because there weren't going to be any "free coins" or just keep going up? Time will tell on that but with no other competition for the most part from other Bitcoin chains Bitcoin Cash could garner more support and start surging hard if some big players sell their Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash.
It has wide distribution, 8mb blocks, and lower transaction fees and Roger Ver is putting out hilarious tweets about it. If nothing else it has to make you laugh!
As if Bitcoin Cash just snagged a ride and Bitcoin will fall away! Hahahah 😂 I don't know what will happen but it will be interesting to say the least.
There is one thing for sure. I feel like a lot more people are starting to take Bitcoin Cash more seriously. Check out the surge. It is up to $758 right now!
What do you guys think? Can Bitcoin Cash get to 0.5 BTC or something huge like that? What if Amazon came out and decided to accept Bitcoin Cash because the transaction fees are lower and the blocks aren't all filled up?

Bitcoin cash is a prime example of the speculative nature of the crypto space. BCH has more room to grow so its easily a better pic now the two are being compared in a sensible light. Very difficult for any holder to sell either of these 2 now. I still think PIVX will overtake them both, but that's just shameless shilling on my part :)
Yeah I think people might perceive that it has more room to run.
Eventually, the Koreans will run out of money, the price will freeze, Coinbase folks will get their BCash, then sell it all... buh bye BCash!
Hahha, We will see. I think Bitcoin cash is turning some heads right now! I know there is a smile on my face ear to ear baby!!!!
Very interesting and informative post.
It would be a good thing if bitcoin cash does well, as there are a lot of advantages over btc.
The question is at what stage/rate would it make sense to shift from btc to bch, as it can only do well at the expense of btc
Yeah, It will be intersting if more and more people get on the BTC network and it continues to perform poorly because of blocks being so filled up and the transaction fees are so high. Eventually people are getting fed up with it and a lot of times myself and others will utilize Litecoin and Ethereum just to purchase quickly and move the coins quicker instead of waiting around. That situation could get far worse to where BTC is almost unusable.
Yeah Bitcoin Cash seems Bitcoin that works today(tm), lightning networks aren't ready yet and however they don't solve the trustless part.. You'll have fast transactions but with a trusted party middleman.
And a cryptocurrency with a middleman is more like today, you buy btc/xmr/ltc/eth and a store of value and then you spend them via VISA/MASTERCARD credit cards when you need.
Yeah Bitcoin Cash is like getting in the time machine back to 2013 / 2014 as far as the network not being slowed up
I wouldn't place any bets about the future of bitcoin right now.
We are just in the opening moves of a chess game, that is about to morph into a 4D chess game and badminton competition.
There are so many powerful move in the future, like breaking the physical/digital barrier. Smart contracts, such as escrow becoming so ubiquitous that they are always used. And ways of trading cryptos without having access to the block chain.
So, don't consider bitcoin to be out because its old tech. Its software, so it can leapfrog back to the top after others have proven concepts.
I like that!
It has been a very interesting year for sure. I don't know if you were around in 2015 in the crypto scene. It was borning. The coins were doing very badly and everyone was on suicide watch. At least now there is a lot of excitement again!
Looks live the Canadian stock Hive Blockchain to me. Something with a decent premise but people with no idea what they are doing are throwing money at it. That is what makes this space so exciting yet so Scary at the same time.
Yeah the space is seriously scary right now. There are over 10,000 ERC20 tokens and probably 5 of them are legit projects. The rest are scams. Then we have Shitconnect. It is like a rabid sewer rat that we keep kicking as it keeps trying to bite our Achilles tendons. It just won't go away.
I think Bitcoin Cash is turning some heads now!
So hard to know what to do.
Yeah I'm with you. If I was already rich I would diversify heavily into 50 different projects and it would likely not matter but if you are like me you have to pick and choose your battles!
I bought steem with bitcoin a month ago. Terrible, terrible move. At least, so far :)
I feel ya. Timing is super tough with crypto for sure.
this is insane.. why it is growing?!?!
Because people are buying it! Hahah.
Think of all the large Whales that could sell out part of their BTC holdings and buy up more Bitcoin Cash and pump it up. It is going to get interesting!
check my article https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@ai-crypto-tech/bitcoin-mining-will-exist-only-if-the-bitcoin-price-goes-up
no2x boosted BCH for sure, with 2x there was chance BTC may leave BCH without its main advantage. not anytime soon now
Bitcoin Cash is definitely doing really good. I expect it to rise even more in the near future...
I hope I wake up and it is worth $900!
Yes, if Amazon decided to accept Bitcoin Cash over Bitcoin it would be huge. Then it's possible that would be 0.5 Bitcoin. But again, who knows what they decide to accept, if anything
One of their main competitors Rakuten accepts Bitcoin but this day in age the transaction speeds are so slow and it is somewhat unrealiable because of the blocks being filled up that either it needs to scale or merchants will have to look to other coins. I just wonder if Bitcoin Cash gets high enough if Coinbase will feel like they need to actually add it to their exchange or if they are going to just give people access to it in Jan for those who had Bitcoin there during the August Hardfork.
I mean if it suddenly is worth $2,000 you would think that they would decide to add it to the exchange. But who knows.
I would like it if Amazon suddenly said people can pay with ETH or LTC and left BTC out because it is too bogged down. LOL
Why does bch have the smaller block size?
What do you mean? You mean BTC..... has 1mb and Bitcoin Cash has 8mb blocks.
