Your wrong that we have capitalism todsy what we have is a planned economy capitalism is about voluntary transactions between individuals for the most part we have that but not really we have a government that feels it must protect you. So they regulate certain industries which actually leads to cronyism, don't blame capitalism when it's not capitalism every crash we've had came thanks to government intervention. Other then that great post

Thanks.

Capitalism is defined as the private seizure of surplus value from labor. Regulations, planning or not, if value is privately seized from labor, it's capitalism.

Example:

You work for $5 an hour. You work for eight hours. You get paid $40.

But, the value of the work you gave is MORE than $40.

The value beyond the $40 you earned is called 'surplus value'. This is privately seized by your boss/capitalist class/etc. This basic relationship, regardless of regulations, is the cornerstone of capitalism.

Okay its a voluntarily relationship, hes not forcing you to work if you think your worth more go somewhere else. If you want the full value of your work then do it! nobody is stopping you. You can grow your own food collect your own water, make your own house. Or you can grow your own food sell your food to someone else use the money to buy a house or have someone build it for you. There is nothing wrong with capitalism, as no one forces you to work for them if you think the work your doing is worth more then 40 dollars then by all means work for someone else or work for yourself, is there something wrong with that? People who dislike capitalism in my opinion must dislike voluntary transactions.
