I am one of the "Founding Fathers" of BTC...a Crypto Whale so to speak. Many of you have asked for tips on what coins to own/trade. I put my money where my mouth is and today I will reveal where my Fiat is parked.

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

My followers always ask me.....Broncnutz what crypto coin should I invest in? How can I get Rich?

I have stopped answering this question even with some of my closest friends and family because honestly I really don't know. I put my money where my mouth is in the crypto world and it's the sole reason I have had large success. I study the why and the how a coin can and will increase in value and then try and buy it at a bitcoin price that I can live with.

I am going to reveal to you today which coins I hold, I am not recommending you go buy these coins but it is where I'm holding my money. Although I have invested in many alternative coins in the past five years I have narrowed my selection down to a handful of coins I believe can make it in the long term.
IMG_2370.JPG

  1. BITCOIN: this coin is the king of all crypto coin's. It is the largest position and all of my crypto holdings. I trade all other crypto coin's including Steem, only to gain more Bitcoin buying power. You should to, as a matter of fact, book your wins and send your profits to your Trezor wallet for sovereign wealth.
    IMG_2366.JPG

2: LITECOIN: I have always loved this currency and as a matter of fact it was the currency that was the launch pad to everything else I have been able to do in the crypto coin space. I originally discovered Litecoin when it was priced at six cents USD. You all know the ups and downs in the story of LTC and I like this coin solely based on its speed, POW mining, 84m coins, been here from the beginning, smart devs. Litcoin is a clone of BTC, not as "pure de-centralization " but still solid.
IMG_2365.JPG

3: Steem: One thing you'll learn about me is I am not a big fan of ALT coins. I only use alternative coins to gain Bitcoin buying power. However, Steem token is in a different category for me. Steem token allows users from all over the world who otherwise would have trouble getting their money in action in the crypto coin space to get exposure to this new system of "ledger money" Steem token and Steemit.com are stroke of genius technologies and should bode well for the future of social media and the release of the shackles of oppressive governments to mankind all over the world. I do not recommend you buy Steem because I own Steem, I recommend you buy Steem to finally get paid for the brilliant content all of you bring to the World Wide Web and profit from a larger share of the mining pool by powering up to Steem Power and staking your coins.
IMG_2369.JPG

4: Ethereum Classic: I like this coin or token mainly because it was the original chain of the Ethereum Blockchain before it forked. This token has a set number of known coins versus Ethereum, which has a unknown number of total coins. As Bitcoin would be compared to digital gold, Ethereum and Ethereum classic Could be compared to digital oil. Ethereum classic is the decentralized version of Bitcoin with regards to its blockchain purity.
IMG_2368.PNG

5: PeerPlays Token: I did invest a small amount of Bitcoin into the peerplays block chain. This was at the height of the ICO offerings. Knowing little about ICO'S , I blindly invested this money on pure speculation. I don't know whether I made a good investment or A bad investment but I did not put very much at risk , it is an amount that I can afford to lose.

All being said, I love trading Alt coins and I have traded many others in the past and I will continue to do so in the future. My main advice I could give you is to buy, hold and protect Bitcoin as much as you can. Bitcoin has been left for dead over 90 times and been touted on mainstream media News as the ultimate failure of an investment. Meanwhile all Bitcoin has ever done is get up off the mat, make a brand new high, then have a small pull back only to build a bigger base and get stronger and stronger. Satoshi Nakamoto was smart people , Bitcoin is a firebreathing dragon on a diamond leash. Buy as much of it as you can and store it away safely on a Trezor wallet to ensure your sovereign wealth.
IMG_2372.JPG

Please don't ever ask me my thoughts on an ICO. I know for sure that plenty of people are going to make mega mega millions on ICO coins. There are also going to be people who get scammed for mega amounts of money on ICO's. My feeling is , let a real block chain get established, let that coin get onto an exchange and buy the coin after it is on the exchange if you like it so much. Sure you may miss out on the huge gains , but if a coin is established on a block chain and is sound , your profits will be 20x or more anyway. Do not take the risk in these crazy get rich quick adventures. Bitcoin is the way you will be able to build wealth in the crypto currency world .

Thanks for sharing this. My first purchase was Litecoin, but just a few months ago. I've since used that to buy Steem.

I'm waiting to get Bitcoin. Building up my influence and connections here on Steemit is what I'm focused on now. I appreciate your position on Bitcoin, but I haven't bought any yet.

Way to get involved. There is still a long run for crypto's and you are in Steem early as well. Be patient and let the right investments reward you over time. I get to impatient and it can cut into your profits.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Thank you for re Steem my posts. You deserved a good upvote.

Thanks. I appreciate it!

Your post topics are good. Happy to reSteem. Glad to connect with you.

I picked up my Steem with LTC, too.

Well written post - Reads very honestly and candid - Unfortunately I do not know you but fortunately I now know of you and hope to learn and share thoughts with you in the future. I like your ideologies about trading Alts to stack BTC - And STEEM to make posts more valuable - Is love to read a post of yours about some smaller valued coins with opportune predictions - Such as Golem, Ardor, Siacoin possibly - Regardless - Time well spent reading this post and have RESTEEMED, UPVOTED, COMMENTED and now will PROMOTE for ya! Cheers Mate!

This post received a 3.7% upvote from @randowhale thanks to @krytonika! For more information, click here!

Thank you so much for your support. I love Sia, Golem, ETH, and even like some of the properties of Dash and Monero blockchains. I have owned ridiculously large amounts of these coins at times. I once stacked up 60 million Sia.....wish I still had them.....but I did gain Many BTC on the trade. I will post about some of these coins in the future for sure. Too volitale for me right now.

Thank you @broncnutz - Golem is one of my most watched and weighted little coins in my altfolio - I love the team, the concept, the possibilities - I am really surprised it has risen further just yet but I guess in all due time - 60M SIA aye? Wowza!! That's a hefty bag :)

Thanks for sharing my friend.

My top cryptos today is:

  1. BTC
  2. LTC
  3. ETH
  4. DASH
  5. Monero

I'm new on Steemit and Steem, so I'm studying (but I find it very promising). If everything goes as expected, I plan to put Steem in my cryptos wallet.

I use valuation techniques applied to currencies.

Great post my friend. Upvoted and resteemed :)

I'll be checking out your posts, thanks for posting this list!
I think your list is very good; the first 3 are obvious, and the last 2, are for obvious reasons ;-)

But just the reference points people need, to affirm their decisions.

I would probably add STEEM and EOS, and that's a really good list!

I have 11 more cryptocurrencies in my portfolio, in smaller percentages, like Ripple, ETC, BTS, DOGE, Digibyte etc.

Basically I define the percentages and I make monthly increments keeping the percentages. So if a currency falls in price I buy more, and if it rises too much I buy more of the other currencies. It is the same strategy that the holders use in the traditional stock market

How to study each cryptocurrency takes time I started with the best known ones, and now I'm starting to study the less popular ones.

Steem I started now but I find it promising. I have to know a little more to include in my portfolio.

EOS is in the study queue.

Thanks for sharing your point of view :)

I like dash and monero as well, just think they are over priced right now.

Nice post. I'm bullish BTC, LTC, Ark, PIVX, and Stratis at the moment.

I do like Stratis

These are some great choices @broncnutz
Litecoin could be huge one day. It is already being accepted in shops in Asia and it may be China's main crypto for everyday use rather than bitcoin. I think there is a bright future for litecoin but an even brighter one for steem. It is already growing so rapidly and when people see how valuable Steem is and Steem Power then the price will continue to climb as it already has been doing.
I've been looking into bitquence, I'm not sure if it will be big in the future or not.

Much like my own experiences, at first with crypto..
I was interested in Bitcoin, mined Litecoin, and then purchased BTC and ETH.

I consider these the 3 fundamental cryptos for first investors, to learn theory of blockchain, and smart contracts.
Then from there, STEEM, and EOS as next generation blockchains.

Wow - this is like hearing about stocks from Warren Buffet! It is great to note that a guru like you has held bitcoin and lite coin since I am currently holding my (meager) holdings in bitcoin and lite coin too. I have not bought any SBD or Steem but whatever little I have earned from my blogs is parked as Steem by powering up fully.
Thank you for sharing your holdings. As you say it is not a recommendation from your side but it gives me confidence that I have invested correctly in the crypto world. Thanks. Upvoted 100%.

Well.......I wouldn't say this info is like listening to Warren Buffet. 😂 😂 I know a little more than dangerous I would say. If you hold BTC and LTC only.....you are way smarter than most. If I held every BTC and LTC I ever had and never bought one single other coins with them or never sold them......I would be worth over 5million in Crypto. Those two are a no brainer to hold long term.

As Bitcoin would be compared to digital gold, Ethereum and Ethereum classic Could be compared to digital oil. to quote @broncnutz

Personally I am surprised to see the resurgence of litecoin. Anything on a big platform like Coinbase is always good news (ETH, BTC, and LTC)

A little more than dangerous ... LOL. Still it is way better than my little more than nothing knowledge. Thanks for your response. I will keep holding on.

Great advice, will follow. Now I'm getting away from this!!

EXCELENTE POST AMIGO!!! MUY BUENA INFORMACION NOS BRINDAS!!! MUCHAS GRACIAS Y SEGUIRE PENDIENTE DE TUS POSTS! ;) UN SALUDO DESDE ARGENTINA!!! :D

Thanks for sharing these infos, I fully trust your choices, From now on every time i get a dollar on steemit i'll invest in one of these coins thanks Bronc.
Upvoted and resteemed :D.

Thanks again as always my man.

upvoted dear @broncnutz
but I'm worried about bitcoin because of the project 1 augest ... these days are full of stress for me :(

Don't worry. Hold with tight hands.

@broncnutz thanks you for sharing your secret! Yes, BitCoin is always there! I still rememeber that my very first crypto is BitCoin. I bought it a few years a go when it was $450, but at that time, it is very difficult to buy.

Now I can see that Bitcoin is the most secure asset I should hold among the other cryptocurrencies.

I also plan to purchase LiteCoin, but it seems now it is very expensive!
Anyways, are you interested in EOS?? What do you think about it?

Dang! Your a smart girl.....good for you! So I have to admit I don't know a lot about EOS but I understand what it does. I don't think you can buy it in the USA right? I don't know, make a blog about it and teach me what you know, maybe you could even make a video and teach all of us.

Exodus Wallet includes EOS, i picked some up the other day

Made this post for anyone that wants to get EOS Tokens even in USA
https://steemit.com/steem/@positivebalances/how-to-get-your-hands-on-some-eos

Thanks for the kind words! I am not so smart :D
Regarding EOS, I believe even you are in the USA, you can still buy it. Based on my research, there are many ways to buy it when you are in USA:

  1. Use VPN to hide your USA IP, so when you open eos.io website, they will not able to detect that you are a US resident :)
  2. Buy it from other exchange sites like Bitfinex.com or Krakhen

Hope it helps you and other people too :D If you want to get more details, I will write a blog post about this one day!

Thanks for this Valuable Info. It's well summarized and clarified me a lot of doubts. I have a long way to go. I hope it's not too late.

Wanted to ask you, what is a Trezor wallet for sovereign wealth?

A Trezor is a hardware wallet that holds your private key. You can't get hacked and you don't risk an exchange becoming un solvent and shutting down like several have done. It is a MUST BUY....do not hesitate, but one right this second. They come in black, white and grey and are super super easy to use.

We sure love the steem!! I'm really liking what EOS is going to do 🤑

I think u might be right on EOS....how to get it USA though?

Hey @broncnutz!

Do you own multiple Trezors? In case of a hardware failure? Or do you recommend a printed copy for backup?

Thanks for sharing!

Yes I bought a backup Trezor. I ordered three of the Ledger Blues a couple months ago, should ship next month

Among the altcoins I think Civic has great potential. I wouldn't mind holding civic

If you think out of every Alt coin there is....."Civic Coin"......has the most potential, then you have an enormous amount to learn my man. I mean I don't even really love Ethereum that much and that coin has billions of dollars of backing from household name companies. Civic coin?.... what the heck is that? I had a Honda Civic once, sometimes when I opened the door a few quarters and pennies would fall out.......have you been finding my Money????.?

Civic is up 90% today :)

Upvoted and Followed (even though I'm a Steeler's fan).

I like all fan.....lol....I really like your Steemit handle. @sirstackalot

I think most ICO'S should be ICSO......Intitial Coin "Scam" Offering and yes bitcoin started all of this so that should be number one, i personally like innovative altcoins that bring something new to the table, such as steemit, GRC and BURST.

Great post hope it helps new people out.

Thanks for reading my post cuz. I only want to help others get ahead.

Exactly, one of the greatest things about cryptocurrency it's so easy to share.

Thanks for exposing me to a variety of cryptocurrency. I will follow you always.

wow .. thanks for this information.
i appreciate you for sharing this information. i'm tryin my best and waiting badly to buy bitcoins now.

I hear ya....trying to find a spot to buy more myself.

Today i was getting less than original price at local bitcoins but I didn't buy because everyone is afraid that price will go down

Got all of them in my portfolio too, solid choices!

Very risky to invest in smaller alt coins, I agree.
Nice for the potential upside that it brings but mostly still far away from workign products.

Nice walkthrough of your favorite cryptos, thank you @broncnutz! I'm only doing Bitcoin to buy Steem for now but might invest more in altcoins in the future!

Good plan

This is a great post for about a few of the mains in the crypto world. I love how you gave your own experiences with them and not just throwing out speculations. Thank you for that.

The main thing is do your research and then invest. Don't keep asking people as if they hold a crystal ball.

#DYOR

Exactly! How can you invest in something you don't completely understand? The very second it dawned on me what BTC was, how it worked and why I knew it would go much higher (it's going much much much higher from here even) I rushed to buy as much of it as I could. I bought every week for several months.....I'm still buying.

Thank you for posting @broncnutz.

Lovely topic....one near and dear to Steemians hearts. Appreciate the information.....very interesting to see another view regarding navigating in Cryptospace.

All the best to your endeavours. Cheers.

Hey cool stuff man. Im pretty heavy in LTC right now. In your opinion is loafwallet secure? I always hear people talking about paper/hardwarre wallets but never about loafwallet which appears to be secure...Thanks for any help AND check out Charlie Lees interview tonight, I think he may have an announcement ;-)

I only use a HARDWARE wallet like Trezor or Ledger

All these coins are burning energy (and a hell lot of energy) for nothing exept some useless hashes. What do you think about the Gridcoin where you use all this energy to help benefit humanity instead - and where no ASICS burning power away but where you can crunch for global science with your CPU or even your Smartphone?

I like it but the energy burnt creates a very secure blockchain. Proof of Stake mining helps eliminate this...similar to Steem.

Yes but the same energy burnt for Gridcoin would not only creating a very secure blockchain but also benefit global science and helping make the world a better place for all beings. Don't forget that you don't "mine" Gridcoin with useless ASICS - you mine it with science computing.

damm this is what i looking for thanks for posting this with full details and info.

Hey BN thanks for this! It's always good to get a seasoned was opinion on a topic you're doing your best to learn. My wife and I have similar pics to yours and it made me smile to see them. We do, like many others, like litecoin very much. I also have an affection for dogecoin, thoughts? BTC is where it's at though and will continue to be. We never really considered Eth. Classic just the regular one that everyone else is into. I'll be checkin' out the classic now! Thanks so much. Much appreciated. The Trezor wallet is golden info!

This is good info. Bitcoin is basically the go-to option when you're thinking cryptocurrency and I really like the prospects of steem. Looking forward to the effects of the fork tomorrow. Will you be adding BitCash to your portfolio?

Litecoin is not pure de-centralization? Can you please explain that?

Litecoin Has a founder who everyone knows......Charlie Lee. He is a brilliant man but he is alive and we know who he is. Satoshi Nakamoto is a person who nobody knows.....this inherently makes BTC more de centralized

Nice post @broncnutz. Speaking from the heart and what you believe in. Tons of positive feedback from those following you too. I noticed as many of the alts are selling off over the last few days, maybe to get back into BTC to get the equivalent BCC, Steem has held up pretty well. I was thinking that is because Steemians are powered up and can't sell-off and drive the price down?
GatorBait

Great advice and I'm sure that I am just echoing what others have said already.

But I feel a bit a bit better knowing that I am at least on the right track, my first forray into Crypto has been moving onto Steemit, my second was buying some LiteCoin and my third is going to invest in some BitCoin.

I think that I have mentioned it previously, that I remember when bitcoins where first coming to people's attention, and that I did think rather lazily that I would have to find out about them...roll forward 8 years and the time has gone past in the flash of an eye and the only thing that I have to show for that time is regret :-(

I am NOT going to make the same mistake again and I can thank Steemit for helping me move into Crypto currencies properly.

Thanks again for sharing, it is good to get the opinion of someone with your experience of the market.

I started with litecoin and steem as well and flirted here and there with bitcoin but recently I've come to the same conclusion. I am after as much bitcoin as I can. I've traded everything to buy more bitcoin and I power up everything to steempower because I feel like that will be a lot harder to do in the future.

Etc really , it has no future

Same thing people said about BTC. Truth is you don't know jack crap and neither do I for that matter. ETC can do everything ETH can do and there is a much fewer amount of coins. Someday wayyyyy in the future, SOMEONE will find a use for its established, working flawless blockchain. For a person to deem it has no future right now in 2017 is absolutely reckless talk and pure ignorance. It will find a use someday, it may be a completely different use, but it will find a utility.

There are many crypto that can do everything ethereum can or even better, fot it to succeed it needs support from developers which etc dont have, of course it can find a utility but we should not invest in hope that someone will find it useful someday

Litecoin has been our accumulate'r coin as well 🚀🌛

Good picks, I also recommend #bitshares (BTS) the decentralized exchange, considering it's Steem's progenitor and also has a high amount of activity and a lot of business development on top of it.

I always support you @broncnutz........ but I am even more excited about what you are saying about "Steem token and Steemit.com is technological genius and should be a sign Good for the future of social media and the release of the shackles of oppressive governments Mankind all over the world "thank you very much for thinking this @fahrullah

Thank you for this open info. I wish more investors do exactly that what you just did. I will take a look at the ones I didn't look at this far.

Why bitcoin is always best ?
and it's not easy to earn a bitcoin here

Last time I checked....2700.00 was a lot of money. Should it be EASY to earn 2700.00?????

no but there is lot of currencies and if minnows trade with any currecies if they lost his money then that is not justice with them

Bro pls new post on my page go upvote like 6 of them God bless you as you do that.. Thanks.. Always in love with your post all day

Do you even understand how Steemit works? You get about 10 votes a day without depleting your voting power......and you want 6 in one day when I just gave you one big vote a few min ago? What about my other 750 followers? Don't they want some of my votes just like you got? Give me six votes he says...............lmao..........lol......lol.......

If I may ask, why do you prefer ethereum classic instead of ethereum?
I thought that ethereum has more active developer community and also the integral part of the current ICO frenzy (Which is both good and bad thing)

Oh wait, my bad, you already answer that question in @vegeto comment.

Thanks for sharing btw, your post is always give me a new insight. I'll subscribe you as a fan on my streemian by the way *thumbsup

Thanks a lot @broncnutz for this post, in fact i am looking this kinda post. Sir, do u think steem can also appreciate to the the range of 4 to 5 usd per steem in 2019/2020, my sense of analysis says yes, but i just want to know ur view particularly on the steem. BTC we all know, will continue its bull train.

This was good stuff, man. Thanks!

I have been investing in Steem Power and am going to try and continue to do so. I think it is a neat platform. I will have to consider getting more bitcoin. I hold very little.
