I may be wrong, but looking at how Bitcoin continues to rise and much of the rest of the field including Ethereum is falling, I think maybe people are selling off their altcoins to put into Bitcoin. The reason I say this is that normally when Bitcoin is down other coins follow. Right now it's the opposite. I imagine people are trying to cash in on the extra coin (BCC) they will get when they hold Bitcoin.

it's, when the market cap getting short, the price also crashes. BTC is the major player on the market so it the safest chooses on the crypto currency world. For altcoin, it's just summer season, people had been investing in altcoin for the height profit return comparing to BTC, and all start to cash out some into Fiat to enjoy a decent vacation, the why the market volume had shorted.
Yeah, it's definitely due to the BCC. I'd do it myself if I had some freed up coin. Coinbase takes a billion years to transfer anything so I missed that boat. I think that BTC will slingshot back down August 2nd and 3rd though. So will BCC... HARD.
Yep, it's already down and altcoins are bouncing now.
What will happen who knows.... Past few days ago all the cryptocurrency get so down now they are riseing.... God knows what will happened after few year...

I think you're right. They're looking at BCC and thinking 'dividend'. The others will bounce back soon enough though - ETH looks like a steal vs BTC right now.
