You don't mine Bitcoin, because you would need special hardware for it (called ASICS), but you rather mine other cryptocurrencies and trade them into Bitcoin. This can be done with simple graphics cards, but it needs a lot of electricity. So the electricity bill is the only bottleneck for profit (:

I´ve read a few articles about Mining, last night. And the Question is: Who is controlling the Bitcoin market? - The few, who have the biggest Mining power! This has nothing to do with decentralizing. It´s just another way to keep up the Illusion of it. Needing the right Hardware + the possibility to pay high electricity bills, kicks out already millions of people out of business. Including me, in the center of one of the richest countrys on earth. Sorry, you have not convinced me. But thanks for trying. liebe Grüsse
This right here is the decentralization chart of Bitcoin. The Bitcoin market isn't controlled by one entity and that's why we have scaling debates like the one I'm writing about. It's unbelievable hard to manipulate or change the Bitcoin protocol, because it's based on hyper consenus and needs a majority of 95% of the active users for a change. The few with the biggest mining power make the most money sure, but they still can't force changes or their own will!
This is no illusion and Bitcoin proves its decentralized aspect every new single day.
But if you don't like these facts, then there are other cryptocurrencies with even more decentralized mining like 'Monero'.
Kind regards
It's not about liking or not. This charts, as well as your post, just don't make any sense to me. I read it, and it is like chinese to me. Totally crazy stuff, you know. Weird. And it doesn't get better by any link you add. So, my questions where more profoundly, like: How can something be "revolutionary", if it has the same values (money), and the same motivation (hunger), as it has always been in a materialistic world? And it is not about, if it is more fair. That's what i mean, by saying,: there wont be any real revolution, without the revolution within ourself. A change on values, and the realization of Fullness, which is already here, in us. If this things get realized, there wont be any graving. The world has transformed right in that moment.
But I feel you want to bring it to an end. Thats fine. I appretiate your intention. Thank you, good luck on your path. May your wishes be granted. Regards
