87-year-old American investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett, has again scorned investment in cryptocurrencies, claiming that “buying Bitcoin is not investing,” in an interview with Yahoo Finance in Omaha, Nebraska, today, April 28.

“There’s [sic] two kinds of items that people buy and think they’re investing,” he said. “One really is investing and the other isn’t.” He added:

“If you buy something like a farm, an apartment house, or interest in a business […] [y]ou can do that on a private basis […] and it’s a perfectly satisfactory investment. You look at the investment itself to deliver the return to you. Now, if you buy something like Bitcoin or some cryptocurrency, you don’t really have anything that has produced anything. You’re just hoping the next guy pays more.”

Warren Buffett should make people optimistic, knowing about all of his misses, and he still made what he made.
He only got into AAPL in 2016, give him some time and he will buy Bitcoin.
He only needs to live long enough, and throw more of them pyramid signs with his hands.

He's right. Technically buying BTC, because you think price will go up and/or because you think you can use it like a currencie is not investing, it's trading and/or using a way of payment.
Buying some token that have a project behind it that is more that just being a currencie is investing. The question is about ETH, because of all the projects that uses the protocol to create smart contract, buying ETH is a way to invest in them all, or in the smart contract system, not only in the currencie.
On the other side buying STEEM is an investment. There is a project behind the token and you can have a return that is more that the just price going up. That being said please upvote this comment to prove me right 😎😎😎😎😎

He is just bullish? Can't he see the power of crypto?
Is he blind?

Warren Buffett said buying Bitcoin is “not investing.”

This comes from a guy who completely missed the Internet and still doesn’t use email.

Every great dynasty in history has fallen.

Uncle Warren is loaded and whether he invests in BTC or not, he will never be able to deplete his wealth.

Can't really argue with that.
