DECENTRALIZED is freedom, and it's great

Any number beyond 9 is a step into infinity.

Right NOW is what matters, and I'm always happy right now.

The most money I have is the amount I keep a secret.

There's only one time frame, it's now... read more

Awesome having your own book available! I have never seen a book sold on blurb before!

see I moved the genesis mining down, on content that is not about genesis, thanks to your advice

This was insanely good.

Totally agree..people do not understand the importance of decentralization always want to to trust centralize authority only. They trust the centralize authority even if they loose the personal data and password because centralize apps are more prone to hacking.

Well said. Most people are deluded. :)

"It just takes experience"

BAM!

That's the flip side to the saying "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." I've tried sharing information w/ folks close to me but only the ones who are ready to receive the information act on it.

Hands on experience is the best kind and until you do it you can't explain it completely.

A great post @craig-grant. I also have a lot of trouble convincing my friends to join Steemit. Sometimes they go like: 'i might want to do this'. but it's just like you say, they just don't get the decentralized bit of it.

I've had the same troubles. I only got one person to buy Bitcoin and I have a lot of friends. I pretty much gave up. But I'm going to try again soon. I had 4 or 5 people that were slightly interested. The buying barrier was the hardest part. I was able to get them over the decentralized barrier with examples from silicon valley, Linux, internet of things, and just by talking a lot about inflation and Fiat interest rates. But thanks for posting. I concur with everything you said. But Dantheman is still "the guy" haha!!

shhh. Dan is top secret :)

I want to know more about him! :P

read your book - very good read mate

deliver that sermon!!!!

great primer for crypto-beginners... thanks craig!

@craig-grant going at it again :)

Have Fun Be FREE!

I have the same problem getting people interested in Steemit. It's always that they will think about it or do it later.

Fair to say people are lazy, isn't it?

Thanks for the information, you are great !

Craig, do you also invest in hard assets like precious metals? I ask because personally, I am driven to these types of safe investments because i can hold them and use them as a medium of exchange, even if there was a solar flare or EMP that could knock out electricity/internet for days. Thanks for your post!

if the electricity go out from an EMP, I will just go ahead and get myself killed

this iceberg demonstrates what you were talking about - the ice above the water is the 1% who are into crypto and below the water line is the crypto non believers 99%

Thanks Craig. I am curious, how do you make profit using Changelly ? You said you have 4 sources of income, including Changelly.

no more Changelly

Hey Craig do you know where I can buy steem with a visa credit card?

I don't know any place to buy steem, I think you have to buy bitcoin first and then trade it to steem...

nice post as always.

I totally understand the frustration with trying to tell other about crypto. Like you said, I learned by reading. If people can't grasp it, they will eventually leave or just keep asking. People always ask me "where does the money come from?" Well, figure out what money is and how it begins to have value haha. Time is money.
